COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An oatmeal stout with 25.0% oat-based ingredients and a nice touch of gourmet coffee. A beer that goes extremely well with breakfast! Also good for the afternoon and the evening… Good hints of coffee and smoke as well as dark chocolate and roasted malts. Now aged in Cherry Wine barrels. A new take on the Mikkeller classic!

Bottle. Dark brown to black color with creamy beige head. Aroma is light roasty with coffee, dark chocolate, cocoa, woody and vinous notes, cherries. Taste is nice malty, roasty, light acid, chocolate and berries are dominant, solid hoppy, woody notes. Good one

Failed in my book. Not much cherry, but maybe enough to block out the coffee. Has neither.

Svart med høyt lys brunt skum. Lukter kaffe, sure bær, mørk sjokolade og noe vanilje og trevirke. Middels til fyldig. Syrligsur noe søtlig i smak, mørk sjokolade, lakris, sure kirsebær, vanilje, kakao og lett brent karamell. Middels lang.

Black with creamy tan head. Aroma has roast, chocolate, cherry and wood. Woody, bitter flavour. Vanilla and cherry. Interesting, delicate in a way, but not entirely convincing.

Black with a good beige head. Aroma is cherry wine, cocoa, cherry wood, hint of coffee. Full bodied, slightly vinous mouthfeel, starts sweet and fruity on the palate and ends with a touch of woody astringency. Taste is cherry wine, chocolate, cherry pits, touch of wood.

A pitch black beer with a dark brown head. The aroma has notes of coffee, roasted malt, alcohol, and cherries. The flavor is sweet with notes of cherries, coffee, roasted malt, and alcohol, leading to a dry coffee finish. A bit overdone on the barrel aging on my tastebuds.

Bottle at Cafe Sara, march 20th 2015. Dark brown body with a small beige head. Aroma of cherries, coffee, chocolate, a bit tart. Taste is light sweet, oak, berries, caramel. This barrelling really changes the beer, giving the BGB hints of a flamish red

3.5
DroolYeast (1736) - Odder, DENMARK - FEB 10, 2016
Bottle @ home. Aroma of dark chocolate, coffee, roasted malt, some sweet cherries. Black with tan head, completely diminishing head. Taste is moderate malt bitterness, light sweetness, some tiny sourness to it? Full body, oily texture, light carb., malt bitter finish with some fruity sweetness.
