(Cask) Pours black. The aroma is medium to heavily roasted with tones of dark bitter chocolate and coffee. Subtle spicy. Some hops. Hints of dark bread. The flavour starts with notes of dark chocolate and coffee roast. Finishes with fiery and spicy chilly. The mouthfeel is round, quite smooth and light oily with a light carbonation. Medium to full bodied. Too spicy and hot for my liking Koelschtrinker (20398) - Köln (Cologne), GERMANY - MAY 11, 2011
Leicht scharfer Geruch. /9/10/8//9

EBF 08. Dark brown wit no head. Malty with some hop tones. Malt, chocolate and chili. Medium to full body with a bitter finish. TimE (5817) - Tokyo, JAPAN - APR 29, 2009
EBF 2008. The chocolate and coco powder in the nose isn’t as powerful as I was expecting. The chillis make their presence in the mouth with a fiery bite, along with the chocolate and coco. I love this combo and think this would go great with a chicken curry sandwich. Spicy chili, chocolate finish. BeerBiker (1415) - Odense, DENMARK - FEB 8, 2009
[Sampled with the trio: Svoger, Svogergylp and Adenila Foged at EBF, 2008.] Although it is long time I’ve tasted this I remember some thin but good chili in a good party with coffeechocs. No burning. yngwie (17053) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - DEC 30, 2008
Cask at European Beer Festival, Copenhagen. A black beer with some head, or at least a wafer thin layer of tan bubbles. Roasted malts, chocolate and some chili in the aroma, with the chili slowly creeping up the nose, but quite mild. Roasted malt, chocolate and some coffee starts off the flavor experience, but soon a strong, burning chili flavor blends in. Some bitterness too, but coffee-bitterness, not hoppy bitterness. Chili-warming, full-bodied and slightly sweet mouthfeel. Coffee-bitter finish with some chili. The chili is really lasting. I love the chili profile in this one, but it’s far from being an easy drinkable one. (080913) Beer5000 (6489) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - DEC 21, 2008
Cask @ EBF 2008. Black body with almost no head. Aroma is roasted coffee, chocolate and hops. Flavor is sweet roasted malt, bitter coffee, dark chocolate and a strong chili flavor that burns in the aftertaste. It is nice and hot, but destroyed my taste for the two next beers. Actually a bit less chilly might be more balanced.
