Keg at CBC2012, from some old notes. Jet black, small cream head - looks like BGB. Aroma is full-on English tea leaves, a bit of roast. Flavour is roasty but then massive astringency, full-on stewed tea nastiness. Too much time on the tea leaves? kappldav123 (6158) - GERMANY - JUN 28, 2013
On tap at CBC2012. Beer in tbe glass deep black, small head. Heavy malty aroma. Starts mild-malty, almost a bit washy. Gets drier and drier and more snd more intense malty. Finish dry-malty, some hints of chocolate. Good, but I had better Mikkeller beers. Inbreak (6718) - Loddefjord, NORWAY - MAY 13, 2013

Fyldig lett fruktig lukt med preg av mørk malt, humle, engelsk frukostte, fjøs, brent kaffi, vått lær, mørk sjokolade, tjære. Flat lett fyldig smak med preg av mørk malt, humle, vått lær, fjøs, tjære, gras, kaffi, våt hund. God bitterhet som set godt. Grei, veldig spesiell.
On tap at Copenhagen Beer Celebration. A cute one, next to black, and topped by a small, tan head. The aroma has loads of tea, too much I think, ruining the goodness of the base beer. The flavor has the same problem, the tea is running the show, more or less preventing the base beer’s roasted malts and coffee from stepping forward. Some notes of paint thinner, which I suspect is due to the tea. Full body, dry and with a pleasant level of carbonation. Lasting finish, again with tea doing most of the job. Just not my cup of tea. 120511 fonefan (52351) - VestJylland, DENMARK - SEP 1, 2012

Draught @ [ Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2012 ] @ Spartas Lokaler, Faelledparken in Osterbro, Copenhagen, Denmark.
Clear dark brown colour with a small average, frothy - fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, english tea, cold bitter Earl Grey tea. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, again just english tea - bitter tea. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft.
Black with beige head. Aroma of spices. Flavour with coffee and herbs Christian (13930) - Odense, DENMARK - JUL 13, 2012
At Copenhagen Beer Celebration. Black with a small tan head. The aroma has lots of tea, some roasted notes and a touch of smoke. Sweet and intensely tannic flavour of cold tea, with a touch of lapsang souchon smoke, a spicy hint and some alcohol. KingCecil (2087) - DENMARK - JUL 2, 2012
Draft at CBC ´12..... It pours pitch black with a small tan head.... The aroma is major dominated by English tea....mhh... The flavor is also dominated by English tea...... stobbe74 (3790) - DENMARK - JUN 18, 2012
Sampled at Copenhagen Beer Celebration 2012. Pours a clear and dark brown beer with no head. The aroma is malt, roasted, tea, smoke and notes of peat. The flavor follows the nose. The palate is dry with smoke and tea. Overall an average beer, more special than good. kermis (14962) - The Hague / Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - JUN 11, 2012
Draft at CBC. Pours black with a tiny tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, tea and smoke. Major tea in the flavour overwhelming other aspects. Interesting experiment but wouldn’t go back for a second.
