11/7/2009 11:41:24 AM Tap at BBF. Black body with no head. Nose of malts, carael and chocolates. Sweet and malty taste of coffee and malts. Bitter too. Nice mouthfeel. Port-like. Well done. madmitch76 (25801) - , Essex, ENGLAND - JUN 6, 2012

On tap at Borefts I. Opaque black beer. Very odd and very off putting gloy glue nose which carries over in to the taste. Some brett fink. No port! A total train wreck of a beer and I really wanted to like this. Could not finish my meagre sample.
12/10/9/11//11 Madsnp (933) - DENMARK - MAR 15, 2010
Tap at Borefts Beer Festival 2009. Rating #700. Pours pitch black coloured with a nice small creamy cappuccino coloured head. Sweet, vinous and roasted aromas with notes of oak, mild brett, dark chocolate, coffee and berries. Flavour is quite dry with notes of coffee, chocolate, port, wood, cherries and a little ashy with a dry finish. Wow this is truly a great beer! fonefan (51574) - VestJylland, DENMARK - JAN 30, 2010

Dark dark black - brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light brown head. Aroma is heavy malty, roasted, coffee, brett, sour milk notes. Initial flavor is heavy sweet and bitter, finish flavor is heavy sweet, light to moderate acidic and heavy bitter with a long duration, fruity berry notes, a dry dry finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. I like the regular Brunch much more but still excellent and nice to be able to taste the brett version.
Bottle at De Molen Event 2009 ... Deep red brown ... thin tan head ... odd wattery melon nose ... thin roast malts ... quite wattery ... little wood or whisky in linger., NoiZe (2394) - Zeist, NETHERLANDS - DEC 8, 2009
Tasted at the first, great, Borefts Beer Festival 2009 @ De Molen. Black colored brew. Malty, chocolate aroma with port. Flavor is chocolate, coffee, some fruits. Nice port and raisin flavors. Some oak. All the flavors blend in perfectly, great beer. sunevdj (4137) - Copenhagen OE, DENMARK - NOV 19, 2009

Usual Beer Geek looks so it’s off to a good start. The port doesn’t quite work in the aroma but the brett on top of the Brunch is a glorious addition. Once in the mouth it sings a little more. It never quite feels integrated until you swallow and it all rushes together and has dirty sex. The port gives it a far more fruity character than I was expecting and the brett adds considerably to the already bitter enough finish of the regular Brunch. I’m not getting much from the barrel at all, just the extra fruity feel. Brunch with a dollop of fruit and a hint of sourness. Bloody excellent, but not as good as the original.
On tap at Borefts BF 09. The 1 for 1 original beer shines through. Intense stout. Port on aroma. It is intense, it’s got some nice porter qualities even, really quite grainy malty. A bit too boozy maybe.
