On tap @ 1st BBF, de Molen. The aroma has port (fruity), chcolate, some raisin. Black coloured beer, sticking to the glass. The beer is sweet and becomes more bitter to the end. It has much complexness of fruity port, wood, chocolate and coffee. More dry in the end. Very well balanced taste sensation. This was one of the top class beers of the festival. thewolf (12949) - Kolding, DENMARK - NOV 7, 2009

... best beer of the festival...
[my 5,600th rating]
Pours completely black with a small, staying, creamy beige film head. Aroma is just f**king amazing. Brett, sweetness, roasted, chocolate, blackberries, oak, dryness, light tartness, light port. Amazingly well integrated even. Mouthfeel is amazingly light, yet still creamy and dry. Flavour is equally amazing. Chocolate and coffee dominating, good dryness from the brett, berries and light ashy. Some port character, lending it a vinious edge despite being so light-feeling. Light sour oak character in the finish, adding on the coffee notes. Wow! Nice!
On tap at the 1. BBF at De Molen. Completely black pour crowned with a thin light brown headcap. The nose is dominated of strong coffee, drugged with some oak and som vinoes sweetness from the port. Its like there is some cherries too?
The taste is heavy with a clearly sourness present from the brett. Plenty of coffee topped with oak-notes and vanilla and raisins. The mouthfeel is fat with a low carbonation. The sourness is medium but still I experienced it like surprising and perfectly balanced from the port-barrels. In the finish there is caramels with hops, alcohol and coffee. It all ends up in a tough bitter aftertaste with a neat sweetness. A completely packed an enjoyable beer. NoiZe (2394) - Zeist, NETHERLANDS - DEC 8, 2009

Tap @ BBF. Dark color, medium head. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolat, brett sourness, fruity port wine. Bitter taste, brett sourness, combined with port wine fruityness and coffee and roasted malt. Somewhat strange combination, but quite enjoyable. altonbrownd (5897) - Chevy Chase, Maryland, USA - OCT 12, 2015
