500ml bottle, batch 462, bought at Ølbutikken and enjoyed together with Skinnyviking. Devil-black body with a rusty tint. Slowly diminishing, dense, brownish head. Aromatic cocoa to the nose with bourbon whiskey behind. Oatmeal, chocolate, vanilla and mid-tart fruits in a prominent flavour. Bitter chocolate to a lingering finish. Smooth on the swallow. Moderate display of warming alcohol. Very pleasing (Copenhagen, 27.03.2010). Anker (723) - Hillerød, DENMARK - MAR 30, 2010
Bottle at Plan b with courtesy to Thomas, very appreciated!
Pours pitch black with a light brown head.
Great aroma of sweet bourbon, light roasted malt, oak, vanilla, coffee and dark chocolate.
The flavour has a strong bourbon and oak note with a nice sweetness and complexity that compliments the roasted malt, vanilla, coffee and dark chocolate very well. Skinnyviking (9767) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - MAR 29, 2010
Bottle. High creamy and lasting light brown head. Pitch black body. Smooth roasted malt coffee choccolate whisky wood aroma. Whisky flavor but mild and smooth with a powerful coffee choccolat wood note. Low carbonation. Long bitter aftertaste. BoBoChamp (5754) - Gent, BELGIUM - MAR 28, 2010

Pours completely, utterly black with a small, staying, creamy, beige head. Aroma is light biscuity, sweet, vinious, coffee and vanilla. Light hops, roasted malts and chocolate. Really well-balanced. Medium carbonation. Fat, creamy and vinious mouthfeel. Flavour is vinious, coffee, dark chocolate, vanilla, light oak. Very elegant. It is an extremely good base beer, so the barrel aging is almost impossible to screw up.
Black body with small creamy brown head. Aroma of vanilla, alcohol and roasted malt. Heavy oak barrel and bourbon adds to the aromas once in the mouth. Sweet burnt and alcoholic. Acidic touch. Full bodied and oily. grows in the mouth , but not to the point where it becomes bothersome. Tickling carbonation and alcohol. Quite nice.

Bottle, at Nøgne Ø happening at "Onsdag i Annen", Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Pours pitch black with a small tan head. Aroma of bourbon, strong vanilla and lots of dark/roasted malt. Taste is first of all vanilla, lots of it, can’t remember any other beer with so much vanilla present , there are also the dark malts, which i remember from my first weasel.
