Bottle (batch 462 with a bb of 191014). Pours with a huge, deep brown iodine like head with a black body. Great retention. Aromas are of fudge, vinous, chocolate, ash, raisins, bourbon, vanilla, cotton candy, char, caramel, bready, currants. Flavors are of char and ash. Iodine, bitter, brown sugar, roasty, light barrel. Dry, molasses. Thick bodied, low carbonation, warming. Some coffee in the finish. Overall: oppressive. Over done roast character.

Fantastisk god.

omhper (24966) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - MAR 24, 2017
Bottled at Ottawa gathering. Near black, small beige head. Treacle, salmiak, coffee and tequila up front. Sweet with clean, rounded mouthfeel. Syrup, coffee and treacle. Inky bitter finish with lots of alcohol. Unpolished.

Lubiere (13780) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 24, 2017
A deep dark stout with a thin brown head. In aroma, beautiful sweet fruity chocolate malt with loads of bourbon barrel notes, woody notes, alcohol warmth, light licorice, very nice. In mouth, a nice sweet coffee grind chocolate malt with light soy sauce, alcohol warmth, bourbon barrel, licorice, very nice. Bottle at Per’s Almost gone tasting, March 2017.

On bottle with friend. Brew date sept 2011, bb date sept 2016. High aroma intensity; dominating bourbon barrel influence; leather, malt, cherries. Full body & high complexity. Some sweetness- balances ok. Powerful and very enjoyable ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: MAR 5, 2017 pours black color, clear, with unstable brown head, which immediately transform itself to a ring around a the glass. Aroma: intense dark malts aroma, supported with coffee, bourbon, hint of vanilla, oak...Very similar are flavors, with intense coffee note, supported with roasted and dark malts, which takes on bittersweet chocolate, cinnamon, vanilla, cocoa powder, ... in second half steps forward bourbon, oak, vanilla...body is moderate full, texture soft, carbonation is low. Fuck it: this is crazy bomb! almost 11% abv, but I drunk it like a water!!?!

andrepintado (3323) - Lisbon, PORTUGAL - MAY 18, 2016

Flavour is powerful and rich, medium sweet with a good bitter end, coffe in the aftertaste. Full body, medium to light carbonation. Impressive.

weark (788) - Morges, SWITZERLAND - FEB 26, 2016
