COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Nogle mener endda, at kaffen ger sexlysten!
En Imperial Oatmeal Stout brygget p: vand, malt, humle, gr og vietnamesisk ca phe chon kaffe.

Delt 0,25 l flaske. Svart kropp med et brun film. Fataromaen dominerer nesa. Masse calvadosnoter men ogs salte, oksiderte og rstede toner ogs. Sjokolade, vanilje, og masse fatpreg i munnen. Skikkelig boozy. St og rstet. Flat, kraftig og myk.

Pretty strong stuff. Color was very black and foreboding. Palate was thick and oily. Aroma was burnt malt, whiskey and oak. Flavors were roasted malt, wood, whiskey and hops for balance. A sipper and not for everyone.

Pitch black, tan dissipating head. Aroma of roasted malts, vanilla, booze, light apple, calvados, red fruits, cherry, pear, lots of coffee. Creamy, boozy flavour, sweet caramel, smooth mocha, cacao. Quite thick and creamy. Finish coffee, malts, apple, calvados, lingering liquorice. Smooth, drinkable, yet intense. Brilliant!

(Bottle, Stockholm Beer Festival, 3 Oct 2014) Black colour with brief head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of coffee, cacao, liquorice, oak wood and mild hints of calvados. Malty, roasted taste with black coffee, liquorice, salmiak, cacao, soy sauce, oak wood and gentle flavours of calvados. Full body, with a touch of sweetness, but actually drier than expected. Generous coffee bitterness. Exceptionally well balanced, with the calvados barrel evident but never becoming too much. Lovely beer!

Im not entirely sure I prefer the Calvados aging here. Has some light brandy tang. Still lots of roast. Pours black with good head and lacing. Dark chocolate and big coffee. Fairly bitter finish. Bottle pour from Churchkeys 5th anniversary.
