Nogle mener endda, at kaffen øger sexlysten!

English: The recipe for this beer is as simple as a child’s finger painting: you take one of the world’s highest rated beers – that’s the one called Brunch – and then you let it splash about in a totally fresh cognac barrel for three months. After that it’s a question of out of the barrel, into a bottle and off you go.

Bottled. A pitch black beer with a thin dark brown head. The aroma has notes of alcohol, coffee, soy sauce, roasted malt. The flavor is powerful with notes of alcohol, roasted malt, wood, coffee, and caramel, leading to a dry, alcoholic, and roasted finish. Can’t pick up the cognac, just as the warming alcohol feeling you also get cognac.

Bottled. Pitch black colour, small brown head. Aroma is liquorice, alcohol, sweet stinging notes of cognac with some mild coffee and roasted notes. Flavour is quite much the same. The cognac and alcohol makes it rather too much stinging sweet.

Bottles courtesy of Beerandblues2, thank you sir! Very dark maroon, small brown head. Aroma of coffee and very subtle creosote. Taste is slightly boozy chocolate, coffee. The barrel does nothing for the base beer, which is a near perfect beer in itself.
