Sooo good! Vanilla coats the mouth and maple greets the nose. light brown ring poured from a can into a snifter. Light anise and s’mores taste, dark chocolate and a light burn.
The whole experience is pleasant: mouthfeel, taste, aroma. Pancakes anyone? fkoolen (1403) - Maastricht, NETHERLANDS - JAN 17, 2018
UPDATED: JAN 17, 2018 Bottle at home. Pitch, pitch black topped by a brown creamy head with nice retention. Incredibly rich nose with roasted malty cacao and espresso, maple syrup, butterscotch and vanilla. Taste is a tat too bitter, but nicely sweet roasted malty, maple syrup, vanilla, boozy warmth. Omnipollo-like chemical. Aftertaste lingers bittersweet. Low carbonation, good body, soft mouthfeel. Hopmaestro (1823) - Örebro, SWEDEN - JAN 17, 2018
Aroma is rich and full. Chocolate, maple syrup and vanilla is battling on a threeway front to overcome each other. Taste is sweet, with enough maple syrup to induce a diabetes reaction, but it never crosses the "too much" border. Massive chocolate and coffee notes. Vanilla is there, but has slight problem making itself heard. In the end it has a slightly too high burnt sugar/burnt maple bitterness. And that's actually what's keeping this from being a spot on 5´er. murzyn (618) - Sosnowiec, POLAND - JAN 16, 2018
Barwa czarna, piana niewielka.
Aromat kawy, czekolady, syropu klonowego, serek homogenizowany waniliowy.

Bodney Towers bottleshare. Thanks to Adey. Opaque dark brown beer, small tan head. Palate is smooth and semi dry, decent fine carbonation. Rich soft dark malts, nice chocolate where the vanilla intersects. Back-end is big maple, not too sweet but certainly big. Smooth finish. Pretty good.
Draught at Mikkeller San Diego. Pours opaque black with a small, frothy tan head, short retention. Heavy maple and vanilla notes with dark fruits, roasted malt, medium bitterness, coffee and a sweet finish. Full body and medium carbonation. koleminer20 (4176) - Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA - DEC 31, 2017
From notes. Enjoyed on Christmas Eve at the Boné/Murphy household while causing all kinds of mischief. 16 oz can shared by ebone1988. This one is the Mikkeller San Diego entry. The pour is a nice dark black with a thicker brown head and a good bit of lace as it falls down. This one has a little staining power. The aroma is pretty interesting. There is a big time roasted malt up front with a nice maple that grows as it warms. The vanilla is big and bitter with a nice chocolate underneath it. It’s pretty good. There is a light bitter licorice on the back end. The flavor is much of the same. The vanilla comes through first with the maple and chocolate coming later. The roasted malts and a light licorice come through after that. The mouth feel is heavy bodied with a soft carbonation and a very velvety feel. There is a great bitter vanilla and maple on the aftertaste with a kiss of booziness. I like this one quite a bit. 8 4 8 5 17 wombat23 (2148) - Texas, USA - DEC 31, 2017
Draft at CBFZ2017. Pours black with a dark brown head. Aroma of maple, vanilla, roasted malt. Taste follows nose, but the maple syrup dominates this beer. Very sweet. Good for dessert. Derbeth (1127) - Kraków, POLAND - DEC 30, 2017
Can from Mikkeller San Diego. Black colour, almost no head. Aroma is intensive tiramisu, also walnut, vanilla, maple syrup. Alcohol is well hidden - impressive. Medium sweetness - maybe a bit too sweet, not bitter. Good. nickd717 (4999) - San Francisco, California, USA - DEC 28, 2017
Can pours black with a light tan head leaving swirls and a ring. Big frigging aroma, massive vanilla and chocolate, some maple. Flavor is also intense, overly so really. Huge roasty chocolatey vanilla maple, very sweet. Thick, slick feel. Low carbonation. Honestly a little hard to drink.
