COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In the beer geek breakfast series – the beer that really put Mikkeller on the map, we decided to shake things up by adding a truck load of vanilla to the french press coffee trick, creating a whole new dimension to the beer that are loved by freaks and geeks worldwide. Not only that, we then placed it in bourbon barrels for 8 months for a truly unique beer experience. It’s dark, dangerous, sweet and incredibly tasty as you would expect, but most of all; it’s ready to conquer your breakfast table routines. Please note: The label is the same as the regular version. This one comes with a limited edition yellow wax.

W aromacie czekolada, kawa i kapitalna beczkowa wanilia. W smaku podobnie ale intensywniej, beczka cudowna, wanilia genialnie spina czekoladowo-kawowe nuty, słodko, mega gęsto i treściwie a mimo to, 0.3 to zdecydowanie za mało żeby się nasycić. Alkohol ukryty kompletnie, jedyny jego efekt to delikatne rozgrzewanie przełyku. Fantastyczne piwo !

Daboch (172) - Gdansk, POLAND - OCT 15, 2017
Ciemno brunatny stout z niezłą pianą która dość szybko znika. Aromat wanilia, kokos, czekolada, mało nut palonych. W smaku podobnie plus więcej czekolady i dochodzi kawa, czuć alkohol. Bardzo dobre

Bottle. The pour is a light black. The aroma is amazing, like a neopolitian ice cream the taste is also very good. I don’t get a ton of coffee, but a ton of good vanilla and the slight bourbon compliments it well. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Mikkeller's acclaimed (and delicious) vanilla-ridden Beer Geek stout but aged for eight months in bourbon barrels - quite the hype, this one, especially for a European craft beer. Loose, pale greyish beige, thinnish head, black robe with thin burgundy edge. As expected, the nose is immediately penetrated by very strong vanilla, not faded at all compared with the regular version, seductively hovering over a wealth of lovely bitter sweet RIS characteristics: chocolate liqueur, home made caramel, warm toast, pastry made with coffee powder, pecan nut paste, leather, wet wood and indeed bourbon. Sweet blue grapes and candied dates in the onset, soft sourish note, but a blackberry jam-like sweetness persists, with mild umami notes at its edges; medium carbo, very thick, greasy, full mouthfeel. Thick, syrupy nutty and caramelly malt sweet body with a bitter toasted tail, lots of fondant chocolateness lifted up by a wave of retronasal vanilla, followed by soft wet wood, the expected bourbon-like alcohol and peppery notes from both hops and alcohol. Mikkeller has amply proven their skills at big, luscious stouts and this liquid dessert delivers precisely what it promises, with the generous vanilla aspect given further depth by the much more subtle vanilla-ish properties of both the bourbon and the wood. Delicious and decadent, but you'll really have to like vanilla to fully appreciate this.
