COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In the beer geek breakfast series – the beer that really put Mikkeller on the map, we decided to shake things up by adding a truck load of vanilla to the french press coffee trick, creating a whole new dimension to the beer that are loved by freaks and geeks worldwide. Not only that, we then placed it in bourbon barrels for 8 months for a truly unique beer experience. It’s dark, dangerous, sweet and incredibly tasty as you would expect, but most of all; it’s ready to conquer your breakfast table routines. Please note: The label is the same as the regular version. This one comes with a limited edition yellow wax.

Bottle, many thanks FinnIckler! Aroma is straight vanilla pudding, marzipan, chocolate, a touch of roasted malts. Taste is super-sweet vanilla, caramel, crème brûlée. Super-sweet, but still kinda works! Still, nowhere near Top50 if you ask me...

Bottle from Mikkeller Bar Berlin. Pours Dark Brown. Nose is chocolate, marzipan, heavy vanilla, creme Brulee. Palate is very sweet, vanilla, bourbon, marzipan, chocolate. Very intense, but not as perfect as the normal version.

Bottle. Pours black. Aroma is vanilla, bourbon, both super strong, also coffee, barrel, booze. Body is strong, sweet and boozy. Lots of vanilla and barrel still. Not too boozy, but the sweetness shows the contents. Very drinkable for such a strong brew, and quite balanced. Great!

Dark brown with almost no head. Aroma is vanilla, dark chocolate, hot chocolate, pudding, incredibly sweet. Taste is sweet chocolate, faint roast, very sweet. Incredibly smooth but it is not bitter. Still not balanced. Good but not top 50 good.

Amazingly intense vanilla and coconut aroma. Chocolate and coffee, so very sweet and pleasantly full that it feels like a perfect dessert

2016 bottle. Chocolate pralines, tons of vanilla, bourbon notes and unfortunately some alcohol (not bad but still). A bit of coffee. Sweet. An unusual milk shake texture. Tasty.

Gęste aż do przesady, mega wyklejające, słodkie. Burbon nie dominuje, ale fajnie go czuć. No co tu dużo mówić, zajebiste.

Czarne, nieprzejrzyste. Wysycenie niskie, goryczka niska, posmak waniliowy, bourbonowy, trochę czekoladowy.

You can feel the beautiful marzipan smell right after opening the bottle, you don’t even have to get your nose close to it. The aroma gets more intense after it’s poured to the glass. It’s very sweet - barrel notes, vanilla, marzipan, chocolate. The taste is as great - chocolate liqueur, again vanilla and marzipan, some wood. The finish is coffee, nice biterness and some alcohol pleasantly warming as it goes down the throat. The mouthfeel is fantastic, the body is full, carbonation is low and the beer is very velvety on the palate. Wow, this imperial stout is a huge bourbon-barrel bomb.
