Bottle from OTM. The appearance is a deep creamy oozy black with a small deep brown head. The nose is flowing with whole vanilla beans and vanilla extract with some marshmallow touches. The flavors are rich with vanilla that really powers the profile Roasty malts fill in the edges at the beginning and eventually rounds out the beer. A nice spice from the vanilla bean. Not enough coffee in front for my preference or maybe the roast is on the milder side. Don’t get me wrong it is there. A nice spicy after taste with a good amount of drying. Very tasty beer.

Massive beer. Lots of roast, coffee and vanilla. Smooth and thick. Sweet and a bitter finish. Some sweet and red fruits, some chocolate. Very good!

Czarne, nieprzejrzyste. Piana drobna, brązowa, średnio-obfita, redukuje się praktycznie do zera dość szybko. W aromacie ogromna ilość wanilii, gdzieś w tle majaczy kakako i mleczna czekolada, trochę utlenionych, miodowych nut. Wysycenie niskie, goryczka niska, posmak kawowy, waniliowy.

Aromas of dark roasted malts, coffee. toffee, vanilla beans, cacao, dark chocolate, nuttiness, black malts, subtle figs, raisins and black licorice. Pours pitch black with a very thin mocha rim and no lacing whatsoever. Taste brings remarkably smooth notes of dark roasted malts, roasted coffee, fresh vanilla beans, vanilla extract, toffee, nuttiness, almonds, black licorice, oats, dark grain malt, coffee oils, subtle campfire roast and toasted caramel. Finishes slightly bitter from the coffee yet, smooth vanilla sweetness comes through as well. Overall, this is a real treat with dark roasted malts, fresh coffee and sweet vanilla notes in the forefront. A+ rating.

cereal, chocolate, roasty, resin, and of course vanilla. Delicious beer to sip.

(Bottle) Pitch black colour with brief, dark brown head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of black coffee, vanilla and dark chocolate. Malty, roasted taste with dark chocolate, cacao, coffee, vanilla, roasted oats and a balanced cacao bitterness. Full body, almost oily mouthfeel. Quite sweet. Hardly subtle, possibly too sweet. But really tasty, with generous amounts of coffee, vanilla and chocolate. Very nice.

Keg at mikkeller bar Berlin. Pours opaque black. Nose of vanilla pods, strong coffee, dark chocolate, toffee. Taste is full bodied, boozy, coffee grind, dry finish.

Almost black with small brown head. Nice vanilla aroma. Strong bitterness, some sourness and remarkable vanilla sweetness. Chocolate and some coffee notes. Lasting bitter aftertaste.

Draught at Struise Brugge Beershop. Opaque black with coffee-like brownish head. The aroma has notes of vanilla, lactic. Coffee and coconut. Bitterish flavor with lots of vanilla, coconut, coffee, lactic, sourish, creamy, alcoholic. Full-bodied. Great stuff.
