Bomber-----> tulip. Pours pitch black with a pretty thick dark tan head and medium lacing. Aroma is coffee, licorice, and more coffee. Taste follows the aroma with a bit of creamy roasted malt and hop bitter on the swallow. The thin palate on this one is my only beef, other wise a super solid beer. Happy International Stout Day!!!

On tap. Aroma heavy with coffee and chocolate, and a hint of liquorice. Taste much more neutral than the taste, lots of roasted malts but not a lot of coffee or such

UPDATED: NOV 4, 2012 Pours a dark black color with a solid beige head that fades away normally and collects around the edges. Very big aroma of pine, toasted malt, and chocolate. Pretty unique. Taste is the same as the aroma and I really like it. Toasted malt flavor is big and it’s very hoppy too. Seems closer to a black IPA than a stout. Medium body and silky mouthfeel. Love this beer.

Bottle shared by Thorpe429. Thanks Mike. The beer is dark brown, with a thin beige cap. The appearance bears an uncanny resemblance to the other Beer Geek stouts. Surprisingly good aroma, exceeding my expectations. Terrific blend of hops and dark roast. This taste much more like an American black ale (black IPA) than a stout. Really well balanced and full of flavor. A wonderful marriage of roast and hops. I highly recommend this beer. Serving type: bottle Reviewed on: 09-19-2011

500ml bottle. Pours thick and black like oil. Light tan head tat hangs around the edge of the glass. Aroma of roasted malt and dark chocolate. Thick in the mouth with a burnt aftertaste that stays for a while. A good beer to sit, sip and savour.

This is really an excellent beer, especially since the alcohol is faint enough that I can drink this easily. A nice thickness and hop flavor, really top notch.

Bottle. Dark brown/black liquid with a small brown head that quickly dissolves. Aroma of hops, also some chocolate and coffee. Alot of coffee in the taste, with a bitter hoppy finish. Chocolate in the aftertaste. Great way to start the day!

Pours a cola black. Strong hop aromas in the nose, along with a heavy dose of coffee. The taste is sublime - this is the most coffee forward beer I have ever tasted. Way more coffee flavor than that bourbon county stout coffee garbage. Fuck goose island, those sellouts. This is a real fucking coffee stout. Firm, bitter, black, roasty, coffee, hoppy. Best stout I’ve ever had, bar none.
