Draught at Mikkeller Bar, Copenhagengrunx (367) - - JUN 6, 2012
Cloudy dark amber and ruby color. Wonderful aroma, the classic malt of the Bad Worse merges perfectly with light red fruits, berries, and very light vanilla and oak. Strong malt and caramel flavor, evident but not excessive sweetness, some vanilla, with a mild note of red fruits and light acidity; the strong bitterness is maybe a clash here; there is some expected alcohol warmth; light impression of nuts too in the final.
The wine barrel adds an interesting note, but it’s not very cohesive, and doesn’t stand up against some best examples from memory (Fish Tale…).
Complexa aromàticament. Notes d’envelliment en fusta, aroma a fruita i un punt de flors. Cremosa. Final sec i alcohòlic. Per prendre amb calma després d’un àpat. Matts_Property (837) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUL 18, 2012
Bottle. Pours dark mahogany with caramel lacing. Aroma of toffee, caramel, red wine, dark fruits such as plums and raisins, and wood. Flavour the same including burnt brown sugar. Luxurious mouth feel. Lightly carbonated, full bodied, sweet but not cloying. Very nice indeed. Swaroga (2213) - Warszawa, POLAND - AUG 5, 2012
375cl bottle. Hazy dark red liquid with medium red tanned head. Nose : intensive deep notes of alcohol, red wine, chocolate, wood barrels, wedding cake. Sip : medium density body with thick oily texture. Almost no carbonation. Sweet and warming with alcohol. It develops dryness like a port wine does. I’m surprised how the barrels go through this brew. They match well. It’s still easy to drink for a barley wine. It does look more like a beer when we see the perfect head. I enjoy it. dEnk (4200) - Den Haag, NETHERLANDS - OCT 12, 2012
Bottle @ mr. Hangover tasting. Aroma is big caramel bready fruity hoppy notes. Fat fruity hoppy notes, followed by big alcoholic caramel bead notes. Long lingering bitter yet sweet hoppy malt goodness in the finish. Awesome.

January 19, 2013 - bottle shared by BVery. Brown pour with some head and spotty lacing. Aroma was caramel, dark fruit and some spice. Taste was consistent with a red wine finish. Nice and smooth with a medium to full body. DutchDrebus (5960) - Oirschot, NETHERLANDS - MAY 25, 2013

Bottle shared at ZZT VII. Dark red color, small to medium sized off - white head. Smell malts, wine, liquor, lightly alcohol, some sweetness. Nicely balanced. Great beer. DeliveryDriver (170) - Illinois, USA - AUG 3, 2013
Pours a cloudy mahogany with a ring of tan head that leaves light lacing. Complex aroma, featuring butterscotch, toffee(these I feel are from the wine barrels), figs, raisins, lactose, biscuits, and a touch of alcohol. Alcohol is more prevalent in the mouth, but so is the yeast. The sweetness is big, the bitterness is minimal. Thick and chewy mouthfeel, and that lingers more so than the toffee aftertaste in the mouth. I loved it! I was lucky to find the last one on the shelf, and if I can get lucky enough to ever see this again, I will re-review a year later.
