375ml bottle, first batch 17.6%. Leicht trübes orange braunes Bier. Geruch nach reifen roten Früchten, alkoholisch, holzig. Geschmack kräftig süß malzig, reifes Obst, Vanille, holzig, lecker! Koelschtrinker (21514) - K?ln (Cologne), GERMANY - SEP 30, 2016
Runder, malzig alkoholischer Antrunk, keine Karbonisierung. Vergleichsweise süffig auch wenn der Alkohol zum Teil deutlich hervorkommt. Vergoren fruchtig, sehr würzig. Mittellanger, etwas brennender Nachgeschmack. Okay. 9/10/8/10/9/10 fiulijn (21283) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - NOV 26, 2011

Hazy amber color. I’m quite amazed to find a fruity aroma; it’s then followed by evident alcohol, and this is less surprising. The body has a medium strength, and there is a first impression of (Tuscan) mixed beans soup, a bit malty, caramel, sweet, some bubblegum. Correct bitterness, with some alcohol but not as much as the draught one.

Hazy red amber color; medium creamy head. The aroma is very fruity (apricot jam over all) sweet, and already some alcohol shows; it’s possibly flowery too, orchids. Good body structure, solid but not sticky; sweet caramel flavor, unfortunately immediately there is a burning alcohol coming up; strong bitterness, not as much as the sweetness and alcohol though; it seems that in the final too there is still some sweet fruit jam.
Very far away from an expectation of Barley Wine, at times it tastes like a mix of Very Strong European Lager and fruity Ale; extreme, drinkable, difficult, with too much alcohol to be fully appreciated.

Hazy amber color, small head, nice lace. The aroma is delicate but very fruity, more than many other beers, lightly sweaty.
Good body but too high alcohol content, burning. Good malt and caramel flavor, fruity, sweet, very alcoholic. Strong bitterneess. Too burning. Stong bitterness, but overwhelmed by anything else in here.
Sample at Copenhagen beerfestival. Nice head with medium duration. Color is amber. Aroma and taste are fruits, caramel, molasses, alcohol and citrus. mcberko (19002) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 3, 2014
375mL bottle, pours a dark amber with small bubbles as head.
Nose brings out lots of caramel, dark fruits and alcohol - very potent. Flavour screams dark fruits, with loads of dates, figs, toffee, port, grapes and loads of alcohol. Too much for me - the alcohol is overburdening, though it’s not really that boozy for the ABV. Complex and drinkable slowly, but it gets really harsh after a while. Not my thing at all.

Golden beer, small head. Malty fruity vinous aroma. Alcohol flavor, almost with a mead feeling, honey, fruits. Too strong. chrisv10 (18518) - DENMARK - FEB 7, 2010
37,5 cl bottle. Dark amber body with small off-white head. Flavour is sweet, malt, fruit and little alcohol. jtclockwork (17284) - , New Jersey, USA - AUG 22, 2012
Bottle thanks to Matt. I missed this one when it was on the shelves and have been wanting it ever since. Pours muddy brown. Nose/taste of dates, dark fruit, toffee malt, rich caramel, fried plantain, spice, sherry and port wine. Rich. A little alcohol burn in finish. Medium body. Good sipper. yngwie (17237) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - DEC 23, 2013
Bottle, 375 ml corked. From trade with Papsoe. It’s almost clear in the glass, dark amber in color and with a small, beige head. There’s alcohol, caramel, chocolate, dried fruits and a faint orange note in the aroma. Some roasted hints too, but in the far back. The flavor is pretty sweet, it’s full-bodied and warming on the palate, with flavors of caramel, chocolate and dried fruits. Bitter, sweet, warming and alcohol tasting finish. Overall, nice indeed, but a bit too warming. Considering the ABV it isn’t bad at all, but the beer is still a tad too hot. 130405 Dedollewaitor (16393) - Odense, DENMARK - JAN 12, 2010
Rating # 3800. Tap @ Lord Nelson & Ørsted , Copenhagen. Pours amber / reddish with a small creamy white head. Nose is heavy. Acetone, alcohol, big hops and port. Very vinous. Sweet and fruity hoppy flavor with a bit of caramel and alcohol in the back. Actually only noticeable by the warmth it gives. Quite heavy and quite delicious "after hours" drink.
