Pours cloudy, honey colored from bottle to white wine glass. Little to no head. Aroma is honey, butterscotch, sour apples. Taste is sweet, honey, nectar, bready. Low alcohol taste, especially for the reported ABV. Smooth almost oily mouthfeel. Very good.

This was better than expected and perhaps the best Barley Wine iíve tasted. The look is sleightly hazy amber with a medium tan bubbling head. The aroma strikes me hard with extremly powerfull citrus hop notes, blood orange and mandarine. The suprising thin about this beer is how smooth the flavor is, considering the abv. Faintly hazed foxy red beer with medium, sligthly yellowish head as whipped eggwhite. Fruity aromas jumping out of the glass, especially passion fruit, also mango, orange, grapefruit, white grapes. And USA hops, getting drier, hopbales like. Very fruity bittersweet flavour; bitter oranges, kumquats, grapefruit, pineapple- and strawberryesters. Caramel, toffee, maple syrup and fusels. Oh, and some hops... Alcoholwarming, very slick-oily. Fiery, yet drinkable. Warming up, benzeneFruitester bomb, superbly hopped, yet adequate malts. Bottle. Pours a hazy orange. smells of sweet citrus, plum and phenols. Tastes of sweet candy, berries, oranges and finishes with loads of phenols. Body is full. Texture is syrupy. Carbonation is soft.

Bottle @ Mads, 10 / 8 2013. Red wax, 18,5% alc. version. Looks like carbonated apple juice (in a good way), amber, small white head that quickly disappear, leaving sugary curtains when swirling. Aroma, sweet malty, honey, wine like, apples, alcohol, . Taste, first i canít believe how well the alcohol is hidden the taste, it does have a warming alchoholic ending which is great, this is awesome, sweet malty wine like flavors hits first, then some warming apple vanilla notes, then a spicy alcoholic warmth kicks in. Barley wine as an experiment. All colours are involved. A liquid is strange, strong, stinky, alcoholic, earthy with nose of last century old wooden barrell and old aluminium pipes. I think you need to drink more overpriced bottles to recognize what animal you drink. [email protected]

Tiny bubbly shortlasting head, nice amber color. Aroma is slightly rich and oxidized, minerals, candi sugar, raisins, alcohol, burnt caramel, grass, "knekk", weeds. Taste is slightly sweet and concentrated, raisins, minerals, grass, alcohol, candi sugar, burnt caramel, "knekk", dried fruits. Medium bitterness, slightly dry mineraly mouthfeel. Nice one.
