12.7oz bottle Tampa Weekly Gathering @kiefdogs-thanks to Blazer06–pours a few bubbles for a head and hazy amber color. Aroma is vinuous, alcohol, fruit, medium malt, oak, spice hops. Taste is vinuous, alcohol, fruit, medium malt, oak, spice hops, some honey. Interesting. Fin (10820) - Merton, Oxfordshire, England, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - DEC 26, 2010
Bottle that I purchased from Beer Merchants and consumed 25.12.10 Pours murky amber with off-white head. Huge boozy bourbon nose. Taste is really harsh bourbon overiding what may have been a decent barley wine. Sweetness combined with some woodiness and vanilla try to stamp their mark on this beer but its all a bit too much for me and too messy. A brave attempt but not my thing at all I’m afraid, threw half of the glass away as I just couldn’t finish it. A6 A3 T5 P2 Ov11 2.7

Big thanks to Blazer06 for the big taste. It pours hazy murky copper with white head. The aroma is bold and boozy and harsh with fruits like apricot, apple and sugary peach mixing with some spicy wood notes and a decent amount of heat at the end of the draw. The taste is smooth rich sweet bold goodness with iced cider, concentrated apricot, a mead sense, slick rich malts, molasses, modest bourbon and muted spicy oak notes. Above this array of flavors is resiny pine hop bitterness. The word "yum" comes to mind. markwise (5441) - North of Tampa, Florida, USA - DEC 21, 2010
Big thanks to IBrew2or3 for sharing this one. Pours hazy orange with a slight white head. Nose is booze, caramel, honey, citrus hops, and vanilla. Flavor is similar with lingering booze, bourbon, caramel, and goodness. Medium-bodied and a nice sipping barleywine. altonbrownd (5897) - Chevy Chase, Maryland, USA - NOV 17, 2010
On tap at Beer Temple. Dark brown body with tan head. Bourbon nose. Taste is quite sweet but alcohol very strong. Too much for me, to be honest.

Bottle. Medium high fluffy off-white head. Hazy thick looking amber body. Powerful malty aroma. Relatively sweet malty flavor with mild hops and a hint of bourbon. Low carbonation. Long sweet aftertaste. dionysus (1486) - Portland, Oregon, USA - OCT 22, 2010
Bottle pours hazy amber with a white head. Aroma is huge citrus, reinforced with sweet toffee/caramel, bourbon, and oak. Flavor shows the same with some raisin and vanilla. Overall body is full, heavy sweet, with only a trace of bitterness. Good stuff, just a little unbalanced and sweet. thewolf (12746) - Kolding, DENMARK - OCT 19, 2010
Bottle, bought @ Ølbutikken, Cph.daknole (11050) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - OCT 18, 2010
Pours light hazy amber with a big, frothy, off-white head. Okay duration. Aroma has oak, vanilla, vinious, light fruity and malts. Medium carbonation, oily and somewhat sharp palate. Flavour is very sweet, malty, sugary, alcohol and vanilla. Light oak, but nowhere enough bitterness nor oaky tartness to balance both the high sweetness and the high ABV. Not my thing.
Cloudy amber pour with a nice bubbly white head. Aroma is brown sugar, citrus, bourbon, light wood, and honey. Flavor is sweet, syrupy, honey, brown sugar, light vanilla, citrus hops. Damn good. Yes. Ober (2819) - Bommelerwaard, NETHERLANDS - OCT 12, 2010
Bottle @ 2e BBF. A little hazy orange colored beer, with a small white head. The aroma of tonsil with wood and whisky notes. The taste of tonsil, fruits, wood and a little whisky. The aftertaste is burny from the alcohol with sweet and some bitter.
