Bottle at home - late - alone. Clear golden - white head. Dried fruits, berries, candy aroma, wooden, fruity, nice carame notes, ok sharp hoppy, ligh brown sugar, minerals notes, ok boozy, cognac arome, high alcoholic and at the same time super smooth, Surprisingly Fantastic. ejr (188) - Sarpsborg, NORWAY - AUG 15, 2014
Bottle, enjoyed almost 4 years after bottling. Pours clear golden, with a short lived creamy head. Aroma is sweet roasted malts with grain, toffee and heather as well as kandi, wood, dried fruits and massive herbal cognac notes. Medium body, with soft carbonation. Flavour is sweet grainy malts with bread, chocolate, toffee, honey and banoffee pie, as well as dried fruits and some hot and very fitting cognac and vanilla notes. Dark malty chocolate in the finish. Very smooth and balanced, especially considering the ABV. Splendid brew. jesperhammer (4727) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - APR 3, 2012
31-MAR-2012, bottle @home, from "Ølbutikken".
Unclear amber with lasting off-white head.
Sweet dessert wine-like nose with ripe fruits, dried fruits, toffee, and alcohol.
Taste is sweet, alcoholic, with cognac, wood, and toffee.
Fantastic barley wine. This is my drink. Especially the nose is amazing. SirLimpsalot (4162) - SWEDEN - JAN 5, 2013
@ Basunen: stor maltig och lite spritig doft. Smaken är maltig, stor och ganska söt. Eftersmaken är helt fantastisk len och med stora toner av russin. Myclet gott.

Bottle at Craigs. Golden with white head. Aroma of delicious, sherry fruits, some molasses, no alcohol coming through in the aroma. Taste of sherry fruits, intense, molasses, caramel. Sweet with only a light alcohol hum in the end. Great. Ungstrup (37284) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - MAR 30, 2012
Bottled. A dark red beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma has notes of caramel, cognac, wood, malt, and alcohol. The flavor is very sweet with strong notes of alcohol, malt, and cognac as well as medium notes of caramel, and hints of wood, leading to a dry and alcoholic finish. Bottle 37,5 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Pours a hazy amber with an off-white head. The nose is all sweet and lovely Cognac and sticky toffee with surprisingly well hidden booze. Solid body, lowish carbonation, sweet caramel and again lots of Cognac flavours. Not so much of a wood character really but somewhat minerally. The booze really builds up towards the finish. A wonderful sipper. The barrel has really tamed this monster of a beer. 030412 madsberg (11762) - Søborg, DENMARK - MAY 27, 2012

Bottle from Ølkonsortiet enjoyed at home
Pours quite light, not so light in the glass, actuall quite dark copper, white head. SMells of cognac, oak, malts, some taint hops. Taste is heavy sweet, super smooth barrel and cognac flavors blended with the original beer. It’s soo good, candice sugar, heavy malts, caramel and toffee. Wow. Light bitter finish, no hops. Oily texture, flat carbonation, medium body. Quite cognac dominated barleywine this, but that’s ok because it’s super delicious. Want to try this one again some time
