Clear dark black color with a average to large, creamy to frothy, good lacing, fully lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, coffee, sharp, wood - oak, smoke and peat, vanilla, light medicine. Flavor is light heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, peaty and sharp. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft, finish feel is light to moderate alcoholic.
37.5 cL bottle. Pours pitch black with a small yet deep amber glare and a small tan head. Aroma is burned rubber, dense smoked and dark malty. Dense smoked, plastic and sweet initial flavoured. Goes rather dry and dense smoked into the finish. Acidic and heavy roasted into a dry and almost burned alcohol finish. Acidic. Ungstrup (39531) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - MAY 11, 2010
Bottled. An almost black beer with a little read shine under a dry brown head. The aroma has extremely strong notes of iodine, peated smoke and roasted malt as well as medium notes of whiskey and wood. The flavor is extremely sweet with notes of dextrose, roasted malt, wood, iodine, peated smoke, alcohol, and soy sauce, leading to an extremely dry finish where the notes of iodine, roasted malt, peated smoke, and wood lingers. A bit too much for me. Thanks yespr for sharing. joergen (30195) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - MAY 19, 2010

6th June 2010. RBESG 10 Grand Tasting at the Brasserie 4:20 Warehouse. Big thanks to Alex for allowing us to take this off the shelves at his warehouse! Black beer, no head. Sweet peaty whisky nose. Sweet chocolate and dark malt and whisky. Extremely well joined up. Finishes semi dry with a little warmth. Nice whisky RIS. Travlr (27306) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - OCT 3, 2010
Mikkel’s crew recommended this one to my friend Matthias at the Borefts festival 2010, to accompany his cigar. It was the perfect match - lots of intense smoke, charcoal, peat bog and oak. Definitely not for weaklings or the faint of heart. cgarvieuk (27022) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JUN 8, 2010
