Cybercat (6433) - Georgia, USA - SEP 27, 2011
Rich, nose-filling aroma is smoky with a strong tone of fine whisky and woody and licorice notes. It pours a beautiful opaque sable, just one red tomcat whisker above black with a rather thick and fine-bubbled chocolate-brown head. Seriously smoky flavor makes one feel as though one is drinking liquid charcoal that has chocolate, coffee, licorice and quality whisky notes. Body isn’t just full - it’s zaftig, and has a good firm tingle to it. Finish is quite smoky and fizzy, with a subtle whisky bite.

UPDATED: DEC 17, 2013 Bottle. Dark brown pour with an awesome frothy tan head. Nose is peat, smoke, and whiskey. Full palate. Taste is smokey peat, some booze heat, and a bit of hop but it finishes not too astringent. Love this.

Embrouille (2854) - SWITZERLAND - FEB 6, 2013
Bottled 375ml. Pitch black with no head at all. Leather, vanilla, peat and smoke are most present in the nose. Full bodied. No carbonation. Extremely smooth. Incredibly delicious- this is a great version of the Black Hole. Underrated in my opinion.

JorisPPattyn (10138) - BELGIUM - JUN 8, 2010
Huge greige head with some lace over pitch-black beer. Wow! Islay malt just jumping out of the glass; turf, peat, paint. Dry, whisky - malt - flavour, turf, smoked, dry-severe but just mindblowingly good. Very slick to viscous, huge alcoholwarming, prickly-carbonated MF, well-bodied. Oh dear. I’m just a s*cker for Islay malt or derivatives as this beer. Gorgeous.

Mikkel’s crew recommended this one to my friend Matthias at the Borefts festival 2010, to accompany his cigar. It was the perfect match - lots of intense smoke, charcoal, peat bog and oak. Definitely not for weaklings or the faint of heart.

Bottle @ BBF. Aroma is huge whisky, peat, liquorice, iodine and more. Flavour is immense peat, iodine, smoke, liquorice, leather and more. Sticky long lingering finish with peat everywhere. At least as good as regular black hole, maybe even better. But you have to like peat.
