Bottled. A very black beer with a red shine under a lazing brown head. The aroma has strong notes of roasted malt, caramel, wood, and chocolate. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of roasted malt and wood as well as medium notes of chocolate and a bit of dextrose, leading to a very dry roasted and woody finish. Thanks yespr for sharing. joergen (28142) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - MAY 12, 2010

Bottled. Pitch black colour, brown head. Aroma is quite spiced, mild alcohol, some toasted and ashy notes as well. Also some liquorice. Flavour is liquorice, salted liquorice, wood, some toasted notes as well as spices. Also some fruityness and a bit acidic notes. Very pleasant actually. omhper (25129) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - OCT 4, 2010
Bottled at Stockholm Beer Festival. Very black, minimal head. Tarry nose. Huge bodied with potent flavours of grain, aniseed and tar. Slighyt notes of oak, hugely bitter finish. Massive and intense, a bit edgy and off balance, still interesting. Papsoe (25063) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - MAY 11, 2010
Bottle 37,5 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Pours an almost opaque black with a vague tint of red and a creamy beige head leaving laces. Aroma is discreetly tart and berry-like - the burned malts are surprisingly well masked. Solid body, burned malts and ashes with a slight tartness and a massive malt bitterness. 110510 Travlr (24826) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - OCT 3, 2010
Bottle at Borefts Beer Festival 2010, courtesy of Mikkel and crew, thanks guys. This one is flat, a basic imperial stout with a finish of burgundy. Pleasant enough. madmitch76 (24807) - , Essex, ENGLAND - FEB 24, 2013

Opaque black beer with a short lived mid tan head. Softish and semi dry palate, smooth. Rich dark malt smoothed out by mellow wood (but no sweet vanilla oak here). Mild chocolate and milder coffee. The red wine is subtle but definitely there and a nice counterpart to the rich malt. Finishes smooth and dry with a little zing.
