DYCSoccer17 (3720) - Woodland, California, USA - FEB 28, 2014
Purchased at Ledgers in Berkeley. 2011 Vintage. Aroma has light roasty chocolate notes initially, before a sweet, boozy tequila note takes over. The tequila is strong. Opaque black body with a small, quickly dissipating light tan head present. Starts a bit sweet, before this becomes pretty thin, tinny, and a bit astringent in the middle. Finishes with a little tequila flavor, but mostly just sort of thin, watery, and metallic throughout. It’s ok, but not $1/oz good.

Bottle share. Almost black, ruby edges, thin oatmeal colour cap leaving a thin blanket. Aroma of tequila, wood, chocolate, prune, molasses, leather. Taste is sweet, and slightly sour. Smooth drinking from low carbonation.

Plenty of tequila in the aroma. A lot of tequila also in the flavour. A little sweet. Very unbalanced!

Black, thin tanned head. Smells of pine cones, menthol, coffee and malts. Heavy sweet, some nasty tequila, pine and coffee. I had no expectations about this one; tequila is the booze of the devil. Still, not all that bad. The aroma was very nice

Martinus (4790) - Baarle-Nassau, NETHERLANDS - OCT 10, 2013
Jet black colour, firm tan head. Aroma of coffee, chocolate, wood, wooden barrel notes. Sweet flavour, mocha, vanilla, alcohol, light tequila barrel notes. Finish coffee, mocha, vanilla and malts. I love tequila so I had to buy a bottle when I saw one, but damn, it does deliver. Nice!!

Dogbrick (14454) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - OCT 5, 2013
Sample at the "Far Out! Space-themed beer tasting" on 10/01/2013. The beer pours pitch black with a medium thick khaki head that diminishes gradually. Sticky rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee and a bit of soy sauce. Full-bodied with flavors of dark chocolate, oak, honey and subtle tequila. The finish is burnt malt and dark fruit. Not being much of a tequila fan, I was a little surprised to find I liked this treatment the most of all the ones we tried. Very good all around.

Simonsen (1314) - NORWAY - SEP 28, 2013
Flaske fra esp0r. Drukket på hytta til dag. Svart farge. Beige skumrand. Lav karbonert. Mørkbrent malt, kaffe, tre. Hod. Søtlig smak men men mangøer fylde

Yorker (2152) - Holstebro, DENMARK - SEP 27, 2013
37.5 cl bottle @ home. Pours black with a lot of sediment and a tan head that leaves some lacing. Aroma is minerals, tequila, roasted malt, and coffee. Flavour is much like the aroma – with some warming alcohol and a bitter finish.

madmitch76 (27181) - , Essex, ENGLAND - SEP 14, 2013
12th January 2013
Opaque black beer with a big fluffy tan head. Mild tequila on the snout along with a touch of wood. Palate is soft, airy and semi dry. Sweet tequila turning miore acrid - earthy and vaguely citric. A little lactose and a trace of smoke. Finishes smooth and semi dry. The tequila and dark malts marry up well here.
