UPDATED: JUL 23, 2013 So after helping me move, Mike just had to crack a beer. Thanks a ton man! The Utah crew is second to none. I’m glad to have played a part, and I will always do so! Anyway, pitch black small white head. Awesome tropical fruit and barrel nose. Big flavor of heat, barrel, huge tropical tequila, chocolates, figs. Damn good. Poured from a 375 ml bottle, thanks to Mike. Notes of chocolate, tropical fruits, caramel, ash. Very tasty version of this stout. Beergeek23322 (2602) - Chester, Virginia, USA - JUL 13, 2013
June 2011. From bottle. Pours black with a being head. Licorice aromas with dark roasted malt and oak. The barrel ageing adds a bit of sweetness, but I’m not sure if I like this one better over the original Black Hole. definitely a winner no matter how you look at it. allfreej (556) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - JUN 8, 2013
On tap at Holy Grale, Louisville.
Black pour with a sticky tan head. Tons of lacing.
Roasty malt, raisins, and tequila in the nose.
Really sweet, much more than the white wine barreled expression. Lots of raisin in the flavor, black currant, and a nice taste of tequila in the finish.
Rich, full mouthfeel. Lots of alcohol in the finish.
Very interesting, but a little sweet. Tasted side by side by side with the site wine and peat whisky expressions. Pyrmir (5974) - Uppsala, SWEDEN - APR 12, 2013
Bottle. Pitch black with quickly fading head. Aroma of coffee, chocolate, vanilla, tequila, wood and some alcohol. Taste was similar but very very sweet. The wood/tequila notes was great with this beer, nice.

Pitch black with dark tan head. Nose is fruity tequila, booze, slight sherry oxidation, mild soy, and silky roasted/coffee malt. Barrel/sherry/soy combo almost reminds me a tinge of pickle juice. Flavor is an even match fruity tequila barrel with chocolate and roasted malt. While not overpowering, the tequila is the dominant player. Some dry wood tanin and silky roast towards the end of the finish. Alcohol well masked. Medium road palate. A fairly decent beer with price point that makes it not worth it. ngeunit1 (1555) - Waltham, Massachusetts, USA - FEB 6, 2013
A - Dark brown-black with a finger of frothy chocolate colored head. Fades at a normal pace.
S - Dark chocolate and dark caramel malts, roasted coffee, molasses, black licorice, oak, agave, tequila, vanilla, some dark fruit, and some booze.
T - Dark chocolate and sweet dark caramel malts, roasted coffee, black licorice, molasses, oak, tequila, agave, some vanilla and dark fruit, some citrus and pine hops and a bit of bitterness, and some booze.
M - Full bodied with moderate carbonation. Smooth with a warming and sweet finish.
D - Nicely balanced big imperial Stout. Nice body and mouthfeel. The tequila adds some nice complexity. wlajwl (6742) - Quad Cities, Iowa, USA - DEC 31, 2012
Aroma is malts, vinous notes and mild sweetness. The flavor is malts, vinous/dark fruit, an undercurrent of sweetness and a tangy/tart finish. Hophead22 (2879) - Redlands, by way of Wisconsin,, California, USA - NOV 17, 2012
Bottle. Rating #164. Thanks Gabe! Really good beer, nice, subtle agave and a little wood. Rich dark fruits and a sweet light roast. I really enjoyed this beer. (2563) fiulijn (20411) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - NOV 12, 2012
Best before 09/05/15, brewed 4y before
Black color, small sized brown head. Roasted malt aroma, quite mellow, with floral touch. Round mouthfeel, good flavor of chocolate and some roasted malt, moderate pleasant sweetness, and just a trace of alcohol.
