Draft 0.15l at Craft & Draft Amsterdam, The Netherlands. 19.06.2016. Taste with Ogi. Taste as Man in the Moon. Pour it dark color with small white head. Aroma typical Mikkeller, yeasty feel on the back. Taste nice dark chocolate, some wooden feel, pinch of caramel, coffee, vanilla, skunky, leather, too much alcohol at the end maybe. creamy, average carbonation, long finish. Nice after taste!

Alengrin (6017) - BELGIUM - JUN 26, 2016
At Craft & Draft, where it was advertised as "Man in the Moon". Creamy, lacing, pale beige head, black robe with burgundy edges. Strong and interesting aroma of soy sauce, bitter chocolate, balsamic vinegar, nut shells, coffee grounds, stewed beef, cured meat, wet oak. Intensely umami (cured meat) onset with balsamic-like sourishness which will last till the very end, overspanning a journey of subdued dried fruit sweetishness, softly carbonated and smooth ’full-bodiedness’, deep nutty and toasted malt bitterishness and peppery hops, ending in drying wood accents and warming, cognac-like alcohol. Rich and opulent as ever with Mikkeller stouts, but perhaps a bit too much in the balsamic-like sourishness and not enough in sweetness. Still: a classy, deeply layered beer, highly recommended.
