3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Poured deep dark brown with a beige head. Aroma of hugely boozy berries, fudge. Full body, flavour as the aroma, moderate liquorice, very roasted, rough.
9Nov2017 Intense dark chocolate, cacao, dark, moist pralines, sweet, dark roast coffee, dark, jammy fruits. Hazy, very dark brown, meidum, creamy, beige head. Meidum bitter. Bitterness intensifies, harsh, super dry, burnt wood, ash, soft carbonation, full bodied. Beautiful aroma, awful taste. Bottle shared at Leighton's - thanks to The_Osprey! 90 (819) - BELGIUM - OCT 18, 2017
The Black tasting hosted by Kraddel 17/10/2017.
Nice story how this batch was aged on 10 different Bourbon Whiskey Barrels, but the result is rather dissapointing. Very Boozy, oaky and bitter aroma. Taste is spicy, herbal, very bitter cough syrup. Medium palate with low carbonation. kraddel (8890) - Antwerp, BELGIUM - OCT 17, 2017
Bottle at the black tasting. Pours black small grey head. Smell is rich, vanilla, oak, rather intense. Taste is full, sharp, bourbon, boozy, bit bitter, oak, not bad , but too boozy for me. Beerdedone (3452) - Croydon, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 16, 2017
Bottle. Pours pitch black with a thin tan head. Aroma of strong bourbon, roasted malts, chocolate, coffee and vanilla. Flavor was sweet, bitter, and boozy with dark roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, wood, vanilla and had a dry roasted finish. Korcz (3390) - Warsaw, POLAND - APR 20, 2017

backlog. Black with a beige head. Aroma has loads of woody oaky notes, loads of heat. Incredibly bitter and dry. More oaky than anything. Heat is absurd. A bit of a mess... xmunozsbd (149) - Sabadell, - JAN 4, 2017
Heavy beer. Alcohol well balanced with the taste. Not much Bourbon aroma. It seems more brandy aroma and taste. Good evolution with temperature. Dorita (53) - SPAIN - JAN 3, 2017
UPDATED: FEB 7, 2017 Heavy beer, alcoholic, bitter and coffee beer. Notes of roasted, woods, and coffee. Alcohol is excessive in my opinion. Tasted in Olut club de cata. oskitarjarrita (50) - Sabadell, SPAIN - JAN 3, 2017
Club cata Olut. Botella 37cl. Aromas a licorosos a brandy y cognac.. En boca café y licor. CyborgX (127) - THAILAND - NOV 24, 2016
Tap - aroma i some coffee, and bourbon wood from the aging. At 17% they haven't managed to mask the alcohol, and the second half is VERY bitter on the palette. There is belly warming heat from the alcohol, but overall could do with a little sweetness to give a better balance.
