Bov (13004) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - MAR 5, 2016
from PiBar - hazy dark brown beer with a poor head retention; toasted biscuity maltiness with notes of tonka; medium- to full-bodied, quite astringent; pretty bitter, long fruity and toasted biscuity and herbaceous finish

McTapps (6941) - Reutlingen, GERMANY - MAY 4, 2015
The beer has got a deep brown colour with a steady, low head and medium body. Aroma of cookies, malt and hops. Taste of roasted hops, malt, brown sugar, nuts, flowers, woods and cake. Smooth to drink, very quaffable. Enjoyed it.

Una Mikkeller ritirata trovata per caso in un beershop Milanese. Beh è una buona birra in cui ci ho trovato anche sentori di caffè.

Bottle from Bierkompass!
Great label!!! Pours dark reddish brown with creamy head. Smell has chocolate, roasted malts and caramel. Starts with strong roasted malts, slight bitter. In the background, some sweet chocolate is noticeable. Middle part has also a lovely caramel malt base, paired with chocolate and slight coffee notes. Goes into a coffee’ish and chocolatey finish with roasted malts and slight yeast notes. Outstanding brown ale!!!

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein dunkelbraunes Bier mit schöner Schaumkrone. Geruch röstmalzig, fruchtig, Karamell. Geschmack röstmalzig, fruchtig, Karamell, leicht herber Abgang.

Desverger (12215) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - MAR 16, 2014
Bottle from BarleyWine, Copenhagen - dark brown pour and has a large offwhite head. Toasted and roasted malty, nutty, caramel, starbar like, some herbal spicy elements going on.

weark (833) - Morges, SWITZERLAND - FEB 28, 2014
Bottle from Erzbierschof - Brown color, tan head, good lasting and lacing - Aroma is fruity, malty, carammel, citrusy, grapefruit, spicy - Flavor is Malty, spicy, and hints of grapfruits hops - Medium Body, medium high bitterness, fizzy carboantion, long bitter citrusy finish - Good but more an IPA than a brown ale

Bottle. Dark brown with a beige head that collapses a bit but lasts. Aroma of cinnamon, ginger, toffee, star anise, menthol (?). Sweet with some roasty flavours and lots of spices. Some dark berries too. Dries out towards a moderately bitter finish. Spices seemed too pungent at first, but grew on me. Interesting.
