COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In Mikkeller we have over the years done many collaboration brews. However, the last one we did was a little unusual – we collaborated with the Swedish tattoo studio Crooked Moon. The two brothers Jacob and Jonas Pedersen that run Crooked Moon Tattoo in Helsingborg wanted to celebrate their tattoo studio’s first birthday with a big party, and what could be more natural than to do it with a beer in their own name? The two brothers have designed the labels for this beer. And therefore this beer comes with two different labels. One by of Jacob, and the other by Jonas. The beer is just like a Crooked Moon tattoo: strong and powerful. In this case we are talking about a violently hoppy double IPA with 9% alcohol. You’ll find Crooked Moon / Mikkeller DIPA find on draft and bottled. The picture show the two labels – Jacob’s label design to the left and of course then, Jonas’ to the right.En dobbelt india pale ale.
Ingredienser: vand, malt, (pilsner, pale), humle (amarillo, citra, nelson sauvin, simcoe, sorachi ace), og alegær.

jesperhammer (5017) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - FEB 9, 2013
09-FEB-2013, bottle @home, from Ølbutikken. Hazy, almost clear orange with lasting, lacing, white head. Cats piss, exotic fruits, grass, herbs, ginger aroma. Taste the same. Extremely hoppy bitter. Sweet, bitter, oily, medium carbonation. Fine, though not a huge nelson sauvin fan.

330ml bottle @Cimmeria. Nice citrus, herbal, fresh hop aromas. Pours hazy dark gold, with frothy white head, persistent, some lacing. Medium body and carbonation, crispy texture. Taste is quite bitter, smooth, some sweetness due to high abv, citrusy, alcohol noticed. Aftertaste is long, quite dry and warm. Retrogusto amargo, largo y "calentador".

Beermack (725) - London, Bedfordshire, ENGLAND - FEB 7, 2013
33cl bottle from Drinkstore, Dublin. Pours hazy light orange with clean white head - plenty of thick lacing. Aroma is sweet orange, mango, grapefruit, sugar, citrus and peach. Taste is a big hit of pithy grapefruit and zesty orange peel followed by sweet peach and tropical fruits; some lemon in there too. Light bready malt backbone - not too sticky or overly sweet. Hefty degree of bitterness - lots of bitter orange and sappy pine costs the mouth. Booze warmth as it goes down; alcohol not as well integrated as in some DIPAs but that's not much of an issue. Lots of great flavour going on throughout - a lovely beer to match the wonderful art on the label.

A good addition to the dIPA beers. Full bodied and long bitter finish. Nice label on the bottle.

Draft Jerntorgets Brygghus. Väldigt humlerik men även sötma, dock inte den där riktigt intensiva beskan i eftersmaken som jag uppskattar ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

330 at Olbutikken. Gorgeous label, quite hypnotic. Everything about this beer is charming and mesmerizing, actually, starting with the label. Pours a cloudy bright orange with a loose and sudsy white head. Intensely aromatic and lush tropical fruits on the nose; pineapple, mango, melon. Gorgeous and succulent. Brightly carbonated medium body. Caramel bouncing around inside a jetwash of delectably fruity hops on the mid palate. Clean, harmonious, and shockingly balanced for how over the top they are. Long sweet finish with just enough crisp bitterness to balance. Beautifully done.

UPDATED: MAY 28, 2014 330 ml bottle, pours hazy golden brown with a small white head. Aroma is heavy citrus hop aroma, with grapefruit, orange, pineapple over a caramel and biscuit malt backbone. Balanced very well with a lingering bitter finish. A well crafted IIPA with few surprises but tasty and strong.

33cl bottle.

Very good Dipa. Tap at Queen's Head, Stockholm. Grapefruit, peach and pine with just the right amount of hop bitterness. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
