Bottled. A deep red beer with a huge light tan head. The aroma has notes of spices: lemongrass and staranise as well as oranges. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, staranise, bread, and caramel, and a huge surge of oranges, that comes very late, but still before the bitter, hoppy, and staranise finish sets in. The mouthfeel is bubbly - I find it overcarbonated. Huge thanks to yespr for this bottle. joergen (28394) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - FEB 12, 2010

Bottle 33 cl. Pours an almost clear amber with a neat and lacing off-white head. Lightly spicy aroma, the star anise comes through a little but never overdone. Medium body, lightly sweet caramel and a fresh whiff of the oranges. Dry, hoppy finish. A well balanced and quaffable little beer. 13010 madmitch76 (25009) - , Essex, ENGLAND - JUN 21, 2012

Hazy orange - brown beer. Made with Star Anise. Thick white head. Slightly soft and slightly dry palate. A little malt and a dash of fresh orange. Finishes with some lagerish malt. Pleasant orangey aftertaste. All right.
Bottle at home ... copper ... bubbly off white head .... sweet grassy hop nose ... again the grassy hop ... a little anise ... too much a lager for me ... Koelschtrinker (20591) - Köln (Cologne), GERMANY - MAY 11, 2011
Nett! 12/9/11/8/5/9
