COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
English: Pilsner-style beer brewed with coriander and lemongrass.

Beese (3064) - Watford, Hertfordshire, ENGLAND - JAN 9, 2014
Bottle from Beers of Europe. Slightly passed its best before. Poured a hazy copper colour with a thin off-white head. Woody aroma with some butterscotch and dried fruit. Initial flavours of caramel, lemongrass and ginger. The finish was orange peal, toffee and coriander. Flavourings were fairly bold in this, would have been nice to have been able to pair it with some dim sum.

GoufCustom (2119) - HONG KONG - JAN 2, 2014

330 ml bottle bought at Craftissimo in Tsim Sha Tsui East.

Clear golden honey amber colour with some dirt-like yeast sediments; One finger head with thick, crumpety off white foam which lasts for 2 minutes; Excellent sticky lacing with slight carbonation; Fragrant sweet aroma of ale malt, with strong lemongrass, coriander, grapefruit peels, yeast, spices and lemon; Light sweet taste of light ale malt, with light grapefruit zest, spices, bread, dry crackers, yeast, liquorices, lime and sharp grassy hops; Medium body. Dry and pretty slick palate; Mouth feel is light pale ale, grapefruit taste is only in light zest. Really strong lemongrass character, zesty and spicy. Also really dry and biscuit. Hmmm… Hoppiness is grapefruit zest nose, bitter lime, liquorices and sharp grassy taste. Pretty astringent with lasting medium bitter finish; Dry after taste. Light crisp and quite bitter to mouth.

Comments: A light brew with strong lemongrass and coriander in nose than in taste. Very dry and crisp. Pretty refreshing but pretty light weight. Pair well with any kind of meals not just dim sum. So-so, and I wish it carries a bit more weight.

5% bottle 30DKK from Mikkeller & Friends. Lovely cloudy honey pour with a decent head of foam. Great spicy lemongrass aroma. Full body, lemon & coriander tastes which does go really well with Asian noodles. Great easy drinking stuff!
