It’s tasty and true to style. It’s really not a style I love, most wheat beers are usually just ok in my opinion. Although there are exceptions this is just another well crafted wheat ale that Im not really into. That said, I love Mikkellers beers, all of them, he’s my favorite brewer. This one is just not really for me, but not because I hate it its just ok in my opinion.

In short: A moderately hoppy, yeasty and dusty dark blond low abv beer that doesn’t feel slim. Decent.
How: Bottle 330ml, consumed as fresh as possible a few weeks after purchase in North-America
The look: Cloudy pale golden-amber body topped by a large white head with medium retention
In long: Nose is moderately hoppy, a smell of dusty old rug coming out strong (yeast related I guess) and with fruity notes. Taste is dominated by the dusty yeast, this beer is a bowl of dusty yeast soup. The yeast presence helps create a body making you forget about the lack of malts but it also create a strange mouth drying sensation. Feels nourishing, which is quite unexpected for 2.9% beer. Hops do show up adding refreshing fruitiness with a mild juicy bitterness. A decent beer but a far cry from its ancestor Mikkeller Drink’in the Sun 10 which I really loved. Anyway to day is dec 22 2012 and apparently the word is supposed to end, however if my calculations are correct the world ended three years ago, my calculations are probably not correct.

Tap at Craft Clerkenwell - 27/11/12. Hazed mid amber with a mahoooosive slightly off white head. Nose is mango, pineapple, soft and sweet tropical tones, light floral notes and a little soap. Taste comprises light pine, hops, bitter grapefruit, mineral tones. Light in body, a little thin and watery as you’d expect for 1.9%, soft carbonation leading to a light bitter finish. Hats off for a tasty enough beer at 1.9% !

Bottle. Hazy golden with a huge foamy head. It might be low on alcohol but it has plenty of carbonation. Nice big floral citrus hops aroma. I can sniff this beer all day. Good light crisp lemony taste with a tea like herbal finish and some straw/hay noted. After I finish AA this will be my beer of choice.

([email protected] Beer co, London EC1N) Cloudy/hazy gold with a white head and light in body. Citrus hop aroma. Taste is tangy citrus with a sharp finish but has a rather empty mouthfeel overall. Good when you consider the abv, (but not as great in contrast to the slightly higher abv Mikkeller Marathon I had straight after which was amazing)

TET (3173) - Kaarina, FINLAND - NOV 22, 2012
A cloudy, light orange colour, a head is quite weak and blond. Aroma of tropical fruits, peaches, mangos, grapefruits, some fructose. Taste of strong bitterness, biscuity malts, grassy and slightly piney hops, almost dry. Light bodied, that strenghten the feeling of strong bitterness. Great aroma, but the taste is almost only a bitter, and the weak body is not helping the overall feeling. Quite nice low alc.% beer.

Golden in color with a slight haze and maybe a hint of orange. Nice tall white head. Pretty decent citrus peel and tropical fruit aromas. Nice grapefruit, some pineapple, and a bit of mango. Very light malt character, a bit of cracker and bread. Dry flavor, but a bit of bread sweetness. Lots of grapefruit, pineapple, and some berry notes. A really strong bitterness, almost astringent. Very light in body.

Bottle from Sprout’s: Poured a glowing yellow hue with a slight tinting of orange. The liquid was nearly opaque and showed large amounts of sediment and dead yeast while a thick frothy topping of foam decked the top. Aroma is fragrant with a bold scent of funky yeast and sweet fruit esters along with a squeeze of citrus fruit. The drink is initially tart and taste as if I’m drinking a mineral water that has lost all of its CO2 and has gone flat. Flavor is sort of pungent and not exactly appetizing or refreshing. I pick up on a lot of dead yeast flavors with some slight notes of grains and soap. Not that great of a beer no matter how hot it is.

On tap at Craft Clerkenwell on 6th November 2012. Hazy gold with lasting white head. Spicy aroma with citrus. Tangy lemon and grapefruit in mouth. Sharp citrus finish with touches of spice. Zingy mouthfeel. Great for 1.9%!

Kul öl med mycket humle, kroppen är väldigt tunn och balansen lyser med sin frånvaro. Men det kan man enkelt förlåta med tanke på den lätta alkoholhalten. Smaken var trevlig med toner av grape och passionsfrukt.
