500 ml bottle shared by dudeabide. Pours black in color with a medium sizedtan head. The aroma and flavor have big dark malts, chocolate, coffee, maple syrup, roast, caramel with some bitterness to the finish. Pretty nice imperial porter.

Pours a rich dark black pour. Nose is sweet with rich malt. Taste is malty with licorice and sugary. Finishes sweetly with a big malt ending. Quaff Score 7 / 10

Pours black with a brown head and aroma of coffee and alcohol. Taste is strong, of roasted malt, chocolate, alcohol, maple syrup, and fruits with a warming finish. Delicious and strong porter

375mL bottle. Poured near black with a creamy, well-retained khaki head. The aroma picked up a nice blend of sweet maple, coffee, and vanilla with lightly-toasted roast and oak on the edges.. warm and welcoming. The flavor found lots of roasty, semi-sweet coffee throughout.. slightly sour bourbon and oak around.. more maple and charred ashy notes on the long, warm finish. Heavier-bodied with creamy, rolling carbonation through the palate.. felt good the whole way.. really good stuff!

Advent beer #17 (I have yet to figure out the order of these beers): 375ml bottle - Nose seems to be milk chocolate along with roasted coffee. Very well done. Intense dark chocolate bitterness but somehow mellow. I’m literally sinking into my chair and relaxing.

Bottle. 12/17/13. Pours black with a dense, thick, fluffy brown head. Aroma is chocolate, coffee, some dark berries, sweet syrup, bread. Reminds me of cocoa pebbles. Taste is similar; unsweet dark chocolate, maple syrup, bread, some leather, some coffee though not so much as the aroma. Finish is long and bitter; chocolate, coffee. Dense lacing throughout. Low carbonation. Oily mouth feel. Certainly excellent, though not so much maple syrup as I might have liked. Otherwise, really fantastic.

Pours to a really deep brown body with a creamy tan head. The aroma is black patent malt with tons of maple syrup. Rich maple and bitter black patent flavor. Rich but bitter palate.

Nearly black pour with a huge fluffy tan head with thick lacing. Much lighter than expected aroma of maple syrup and light chocolate. Well coated lightly chewy palate. Hot flavor alcohols and light chocolate a good amount of pine and alpha hops. OK but disappointing. Might be good in a couple years.
