Christian (13753) - Odense, DENMARK - NOV 30, 2013
Odense Beer & Ball Saturday - Real Madrid vs. Valladolid. Black with a big tan head. Aroma of chocolate, licorice and something quite unusual, a maple syrup, vanilla, orange and dried fruit combo. Sweetish roasted flavour with a bit raw alcohol, licorice, citrus and a hint of ash. Tasting a bit young/raw?

Bottle. Pours opaque black with a large dark brown head, creamy with nice lacing. Aroma is quite light, unfortunately and roasty. Flavor is roasty, maple, a bit of wood, coffee. Lightly sweet, light bitter, some astringence. Flavors also appear muted in this one. Finish is a bit hot, bitterness lingers to the far finish. Medium body, high carbonation.

Ed5388 (3488) - Forked River, New Jersey, USA - NOV 28, 2013
375ml bottle from craftshack. Cost and bottle both split with Bob F. Pours a thin dark brown/almost black color with a finger of foamy tan head. Fizzy carbonation. Aroma is really boozy, chocolate, hazelnut, maple syrup, and roasted coffee. Taste of rich bitter coffee, hazelnut, chocolate, burnt toast, and lots of booziness! Was expecting a lot more from this, but was still good.
