Bottle from Whole Foods in Folsom, CA. Pours very dark brown with a frothy tan head. Aroma of chocolate, coffee and brown sugar. Full bodied, or nearly. There’s some heat. There’s coffee and brown sugar and chocolate and arguably astringent wood. Maple? Hard to say. Pretty tasty stuff. Finishing just off dry. Think I’m finally getting maple. jesperhammer (4949) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - OCT 28, 2013

Black with lasting tan head.
Aroma is coffee roast and sweet brown sugar.
Taste the same with more malts. Not really as hoppy as most Mikkeller?
Medium body, well hidden alcohol.
From a 12 oz bottle shared at home. Pours black with a thick tan head. Toasted oak nose. Flavors of vanilla, oak, toasted nuts and a hint of maple. Medium to heavy bodied with moderate carbonation. Roasty, slightly sweet, slightly bitter, finish.
