Bottle from Whole Foods in Folsom, CA. Pours very dark brown with a frothy tan head. Aroma of chocolate, coffee and brown sugar. Full bodied, or nearly. There’s some heat. There’s coffee and brown sugar and chocolate and arguably astringent wood. Maple? Hard to say. Pretty tasty stuff. Finishing just off dry. Think I’m finally getting maple.

25-OCT-2013, bottle @Ulkløbben meeting, @Morten.
Black with lasting tan head.
Aroma is coffee roast and sweet brown sugar.
Taste the same with more malts. Not really as hoppy as most Mikkeller?
Medium body, well hidden alcohol.
OK.
