Bottle at "Darkness comes to town", 131116. Pitch black beer with a nice beige head. Malty caramel aroma, roasted, fruity, chocolate, some hay. Vinous fruity flavor, caramel, hay, raisins. Slightly thin bodied. Not the way I want my porter.

Pours a deep umber color with two fingers of khaki foam that settles. Nose is sweet chocolate, coffee, boozy fruit and a trace of sweet maple. The palate is bubbly and direct. Big boozy dark fruit mingles with coffee bitterness and a slightly metallic finish.

Äppelton. Len men ändå lite sträv. God men ingen höjdare. Nja lite väl sträv. Kul raritet dock. Någon lönnsirap känner man inte mycket av

Smaken är grönt äpple, mogen banan, kaffe och sockerrör. Smaken är syrlig och söt med inslag av bränt kaffe och äpple. Ingen spännande öl men helt okay.

Har testat lite över tjugo öl innan samma kväll så börjar bli tämligen avtrubbad.

brokensail (16678) - Dublin, California, USA - APR 4, 2014
UPDATED: APR 5, 2014 Bottle @ home. Black pour with a HUGE tan head. Smells gross. Green apple, pickles, and bleach. Super oaky. Slight maple sweetness, lots of roast, and alcohol. The flavor is sweet pickles, roasted malt, and candied apple. This is terrible. Oak, booze, and a touch of maple syrup on the finish. Scours the tongue. No thanks.
