Huge brown head, over practically black beer. Rainwater, USA hops, fragrant but smelling sweet. Bitterish-wry flavour, dry, grains & dry brown bread. Sweetness is there, but delayed, as chewing on old brown bread. Very slick-viscous, alcoholburning. Not truly great, but a good special.

1500 ml. bottle sampled @ "Er Klopt Iemand Op De Deur" Samson & Gert Bierproeving I. Thanks! Average light brown head, black. Heavy on roast, bitter, bit thin, light herbal bitterness, coffee grounds, leather, liquorish, dark fruits, grainy, feels tinned out. Okay but not very exiting, not sure if this is the age (quite possibly) or it was never their most exiting beer. Agreeable enough porter.

[5/1/14] Bottle sample at a tasting at Mikkeller HQ in Copenhagen. Black with a big light brown head. Great aroma, very roasty, with some coffee, a bit of cocoa notes and hoppy notes. Bittersweet flavor, roasty, with coffee, some dark chocolate and a bitter finish with a bit of hoppy bitterness. Medium to full-bodied. Very nice.

Bottle @ Stella tasting. Pours black with a lasting light brown creamy moderate head. Aroma is chocolate, burnt malt, dry licorice, pine, coffee and woody hops. Taste is moderate sweet and moderate+ bitter. Body is medium, texture is slightly thin, carbonation is soft. Finishes very dry and tannin/mineral with long lingering bitter licorice.

Pours deep brown, nearly black with an average, tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate an licorice. Sweet flavor that ends dry and bitter. Medium bodied, creamy texture and soft carb. An excellent porter.

Pour out of bottle, thanks Andre! Dark brownish black pour with tan head, aroma brought big dark chocolate, roast, nice mellow coffee bean into some earthy tones, nice spicy and yeast come through, pretty nice. Taste is fairly mellow, nice dark cocoa bean, coffee, and roasted malt into some spice, grassy, and yeasty hops, slight bready notes, finishing fairly sweet, slightly dry.

1500 cl bottle shared with a couple of people for my birthday. Pours black with a tan head that leaves a lot of lacing. Aroma and flavour is roasted malt, coffee, chocolate, and hops – with a dry finish.
