A Mes rate. Bottle at Københavns Ølfestival 2010.Papsoe (25063) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - JUL 31, 2010
Someone gave me a HUGE glass of this. I wish I could remember who so I could say thanks properly. If whoever it was is reading this, sorry and THANKS! If anything, I think I had a little too much if that’s possible. I recall being somewhat worse for wear once I’d drained the glass... Very dark brown colour with a medium sized but very well behaved beige head. Sweet chocolate and hints of coffee and caramel. Very roasty and dry. Maybe just a little on the basic side for a Mikkeller beer but bloody good stuff all the same.
Bottle 150 cl. Pours an opaque black with an off-white head. Hard roasted malt in the nose with quite some alcohol up there too. Surprisingly light-bodied, hard roasted malt and a little burned coffee accents. Some malt bitterness. 080510 yngwie (17053) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - JUL 28, 2010
Bottle, 1.5ltr, at KØ-10. It’s a black beer, topped by a finger-thick dark beige head leaving lacings. Sweet, roasted aroma with some alchohol, notes of licorice, and coffee and chocolate. The flavor has chocolate and coffee, hints of licorice, a good hoppy bitterness and some warming alcohol. Full-bodied and smooth, finishing bitter, roasted and slightly warming. A lovely celebration beer. 100506 princesslala (131) - DENMARK - JUL 19, 2010
I have to preface this by saying that I was eating pork at the time, and it paired really well. It smelled like sweet vanilla mocha, and had a smoky sweet (pork) flavor with a bit of ash in the finish. Avant garde. Pinball (12155) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - JUL 11, 2010
1.5 litre bottle at home. (going to be a good day heh).
clear very dark brown, almost black. smooth light brown creamy head. Looks quite fantastic.
relatively mild roasted aroma, faint flowery.
flavor is roasted stuff, good blend, coffee, brown sugar. pretty mild considering the alc. percentage. lots of roast and coffee.
Had this from the fridge - i think it is a little too cold, heating up, it should develop even more character. there might be just a little too much of a sugary taste in it.

6th June 2010. RBESG 10 Grand Tasting at the Brasserie 4:20 warehouse. Black beer, light tan head. Light soft palate. Rich dark malt, slightly roasty and spicy and with some licorice. Some cream as well. Finishes with a little fruit and minerals. Better than I recall from previous tastings in Copenhagen. Borresteijn (7111) - Zaandam, NETHERLANDS - JUN 14, 2010
Bottle at RBESG Rome Grand Tasting. Black, beige brown head. Aroma of hard roasted malts, chocolate, some coffee, light hoppy. Flavour is sweet, hard roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, moccha, very nice coffee and hoppy bitter finish. Loads of flavour in this beer, too much to pinpoint. Fullbodied. I kept going back to this beer at the tasting, I believe I finished the remaining half of the bottle, so thanks a lot to whoever brought this (Jan?)! abemorsten (3615) - Mosterøy, NORWAY - JUN 11, 2010
