Wow, this bottle looks awesome. A real beauty! Beer in the glass deep black, fine creamy brown head. Extreme aroma, a lot of wood, bourbon chocolate malt. Starts very, very strong, intense notes of bourbon and wood, earty-malty. Tastes strong but not like 20% ABV. Finish wonderful warming and incredible balanced. Goes down like velvet. Unbelievable drinkable for a 20% beer. Wow! One of the best, if not the best Mikkeller beer I’ve tried so far. Much more balanced and drinkable than for example the different Blacks that are "only" 17% ABV. This is an unbelievable beer! RichTheVillan (7905) - Birmingham, West Midlands, ENGLAND - JUL 28, 2013
Bottle from Mikkeller Shop; pitch black pour with tiny brown head, big boozy aroma, initial taste is big alcohol but this then reveals real complexity vanilla, expresso coffee, chocolate quite sweet, quite thick and viscous but not cloying, this is an epically big stout. joergen (28387) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - MAY 17, 2012

Pissjug courtesy of Ben. Cheers pal! Cracked this badboy open and the smell engulfed the room. So tasty. Thick, sweet vanila aroma. Oaky and Molassesy. The flavour is complex and yet rounded. You wouldn’t assume this was a freakishly strong effort. There’s a tobacco smokiness and lots of pruney raisin sweetness. It translates as marginally medicinal. Like cough syrup. The booze announces it’s presence when it trickles down your neckhole. There’s a touch of espresso syrup to it. What a beer!
