12.7 ounce bottle, 11351402 printed on the bottle cap. Served in a snifter, the beer pours a hazy amber color with about an inch off-white head that stuck around a while. There’s also a decent amount of lacing. The aroma is sweet and boozy, it smells like caramel, honey, toffee, dark fruit, earthy/herbalness and booze. For the most part I think the taste is like the aroma, but there’s also some candied oranges, brown sugar and bready malt flavors noticeable too. Taste doesn’t seem as boozy as the aroma. Mouthfeel/body is full, it’s syrupy and a bit slick with a moderate amount of carbonation. Sure doesn’t drink like I thought an 19.3% ABV brew would, but you still know it’s got some punch to it. I thought it was a good English style barleywine, it got better the longer I drank it. Definitely worth a try!

Bottle. Amazing colour. Deep golden with a thin white head. The oak is very prominent in the aroma. It’s very sweet, lots of sugar, syrup, caramel. It hides the alcohol well. Fine palate, full body, soft carbonation. Sweet finish. Flavour is very sweet and full of alcohol. I’ve no idea if this is a beer or a desert wine.

Peachy orange/light brown in color with dissapearing white head. Lots of sediments floating in the beer. Intense aroma of dried fruits (raisins, prunes and figs) and alcohol. The taste is really intense as well. Lots of sweetness and flavors of bananas, pears and raisins. Really fruity but with a burning finish from the extreme alcohol level. A monster of a beer, but a great balanced one and a great dessert beer I think.

Sehr süßer und stechend alkoholischer Antrunk. Helles Malz, leichte Röstigkeit. Weiterhin zu alkoholisch, vergleichsweise süffig, dennoch übertrieben. Wenig würzig. Langer Nachhall, ebenfalls geprägt vom Alkohol. 8/8/9/8/9/8
