I had this in the dark on a porch in Kansas City Missouri so I have no clue what color it was. The thing I enjoyed most was the choice of barrel. Pear, apple, oak, a touch of booziness and a low carbonation suiting an almost wine like character. Very funky and complex, would love to have again.
Danke an Sinh4. Dumpf getreidiger, süffig hefiger Antrunk. Herb-würzig, eher trocken, minimal bitter, Noten von Schokolade. Noch süffig, oxidiert. Nja. 7/8/9/8//8 SinH4 (7016) - Garching b. München, GERMANY - FEB 3, 2018
Bottle, cap is a bit greyish on the inside, doesn't look like mold. Hazy amber color with white head. Aroma is oxidized, vineous, dusty cellar. Taste is dusty, caramel, moldy. Oily mouthfeel with fizzy carbonation. Bad bottle? BlazerT (1368) - Sosnowiec, POLAND - AUG 15, 2017
Comparing to the baseline versions more fruity and vinous, which quite well hide the strong malty and caramel backbone. Again highly drinkable with nice chardonnay profile. Ktwse (5861) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUL 31, 2016
Pours murky brown with low off-white head. Aroma of red grapes, bretta, red currant, liquored cherry. Taste is mild tart, almost sweet, with a nutty sweet finish. Light and smooth body with soft carbonation. j12601 (13592) - Poughkeepsie, New York, USA - JAN 15, 2016
Bottle I took to Campground Brewdown 2015. Pours a hazed brown amber with a thin white head. Acid, funk, barrel, wood, soft white wine. Medium-bodied, big acetic notes. Oxidized fruit, plum, acid. Slow vinous barrel lingering alcohol and acid.

Thanks to madmitch76! Huge farmhouse aroma. Brett. Funk. Fruity yeast esters. Chardonnay. Oak. Taste is band aid, Chardonnay, oak, funk, wet cardboard, sugar and summer fruits. A tad harsh but interesting. markextrae (4707) - Alingsås, SWEDEN, SWEDEN - MAY 28, 2015
375cl bottle at home, with some age on it. poured a clearer dark amber colour with a slight ff head. aroma of sweet flesh fruits, mango, rapes, bitter grape skin, white wine, raspberries, sweet pears, could use way more tartness when i’m looking to the style. maybe it’s over it’s peak, but if to sweet __Rb81 (791) - NETHERLANDS - MAR 4, 2015
Bottle at home (best before 16/10/14, shared). Pours a slightly hazy amber with fast disappearing head. Aroma is almost bourbon like, malts, wood, dried fruit, Brett, alcohol. Taste is vineous, Brett, sweet warming alcohol, dry ending with a slightly sour, bitter, aftertaste. Strange (maybe stored too long), but still nice. 12.7oz bottle, from Dutch’s. Code on cap reads 8071210. Hazy red orange color. Thin off-white head, leaving short ropes of lace.. Drinking this immediately after trying the It’s Alive! Grand Marnier barrel... This is much less brighty carbonated, lighter carbonation, more crisp texture, bit more slick. Definitely a vanilla kind of flavor, which is sort of surprising. Very nice white wine oak influence, and lemon citrus, some caramel malt, mikkeller sour fun character. Toasty oak. Moderate sweet taste, light bit of warmth on the end. Moderate bright, funky sour taste over top the slighty bigger sweetness, it’s a nice mix. Tasty full-bodied slightly rich sour ale to sip on, very complex pleasant taste. Mer maltig än jag trodde. Men ganska trevlig maltighet. Svag bretta. Men känner tonen av Chardonnay. Helt okej.
