A nice sour ale from one of the globes most adventurous brewers. Inconsistent they may be, but never dull. Cloudy bronze with a generous head. Inviting aroma of sour cherries, pineapple, brett and wheat-sheaf. Fizzy palate, thin to medium body. Big burst of flavour up-front but it falls away a little in the mid-palate. Fairly sweet but balanced by some mouth-watering fruity acids. Spicy finish and some alcoholic warmth. Perhaps a bit too high in alcohol for the style but overall a very decent package. Not a million miles from Orval with its herbal overtones. (330ml bottle from Leura Cellars. BB 14/3/18)

Orange color. Bright fruity aroma with some dank tropical fruit, custard apple, rich maltiness, sticky feet, some earthiness, spices, leather. Starts out sweet and malty, but finishes bitter with some clear alcohol, brett tones, some phenolics. Quite good, not what I was expecting, which was a sour. Was funky, but on the brett side of things, not bacterial side of things.

07.11.2016 - tap from Mikkeller copengagen - Aromas of fruit and sourdough, bit bready malt. Taste is bitter-sour-bready-sweet with nice dry finish. Reminds of light alcoholic Federweier with hops.

Smells of barnyard and something sour. Hay, herbs, cloves. Clear dark amber colour. Big taste - sweet, bitter and some late sourness. Might be good for dessert after a big meal.

330ml bottle @Pułapka Gdańsk. Great barnyard aroma, a lot of funky notes that change as the beer warms up - starts up with barn to go more leathery as it gets warmer. All the time there is a lot of fruitiness in the aromas. Pours clear dark amber (light brown-ruby) with small off white head. Very complex taste: caramel, dried fruit, malts, coriander and barnyard funk. Feels sticky, medium carbonation. Overall I enjoyed it very much. I would go out and get another in some time. Would love to try this one on tap!
