On tap at Cask, Pimlico. Nice pour, robust and hazy dark gold. Frothy head, nice earthy look. Very fruity nose, somehow against expectations (I was expecting dank and bitter all the way, which was certainly there but with more as well). Full mouthfeel, well carbonated and a bit of a bite on the finish. Caramel malts to balance, a hint of spice in there, but really just loads of citrus and fruit to make it bright and boisterous refresher. Tap at the Cask, Pimlico - 05/09/12.
Hazy Seville orange colour with a decent off-white head.
Caramel malt, resinous pine, grapefruit, tangerine and peaches on the nose.
Taste follows the nose with fleshy tropical fruit tones, mango and hops.
Medium bodied and matching carbonation leading to a bitter sweet finish. Benjii (3050) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - SEP 4, 2012
On keg at The Cask Pub and Kitchen. Pours a dark golden colour with a fair white head. An amazing aroma of bubblegum, pineapple, passion fruit and caramel. Similar flavours with moderate carbonation, light CO2 prickle and a foamy mouth-feel. Lingering bubblegum and passion fruit again. Great! jackl (8417) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - SEP 4, 2012
Keg @ CPK. Deep amber color with a small white head. The nose is lush mango, tropical fruits. Very sugary and sweet. Some sea salt and grass. The taste is sweet topical fruits, plenty of mango and grapefruit. Pithy citrus. This is a bit syrupy and overly sweet. Still, quite flavorful, decent. Half for brunch in Cask Pub & Kitchen. Colour is thick cloudy rusty brown/orange, light white foam head, loads of lacing on the glass. Nose is deep luscious caramel and loads of tropical fruit: lychee, passion fruit, mango, with rubber shoe sole, minerally. Taste is bitter lime, grapefruit citrous , bit of light pine, lots of caramel and some of that rubber shoe sole again, but not in a bad way.
