July 2017 - Bottle share at LKS. Thanks Kenny! As 'Mikkeller George vs Brian Calvados', 15%, 2014 vintage. Oily black, opaque, very small ring of light brown head. Aroma is plasticky, brandy, dark chocolate and some slight sherry. Body is smooth with tingly to soft carbonation. Bottle. Pours opaque black, very small tan head, minimal ring and lacing. Aroma is rich, molasses, dark chocolate, brandy, hints of vanilla, more molasses. Flavor is quite sweet, light plus bitter. Aroma is rounded sweet vanilla, cakey, plum, dried fruits, jammy fruits. Flavour is composed of sweet rounded, molasses, layered malts, little apple. Smooth and creamy. Velvety, airy carbonation. Bottle. Sensoric. Pitch black with very small, light brown head. Heavily roasted malts profile - dark chocolate, coffee, some rains, dark fruits, cocoa. Nice, sweet apple notes. Taste is heavy sweet thru the whole of degustation, some woody and toasty accents. Full body, oily and thick texture, soft to average carbonation, finish is roasted, woody, sweet with moderate apple notes. In overall nice and thick as hell.

BB 28.05.2024. black color, very very oily pour, almost no head. smells earthy, both, very nice wood smell, nutty, marzipan, some dried fruits, bitter chocolate. very very nice smell. full body, almost no carbonation, oily mouthfeel. tastes bitter chocolate, berry notes, light booze, very nice wood notes, marzipan, nutty, some earthy notes, very creamy. finishes lightly sweet with notes of wood, marzipan and some berry notes. very very smooth beer, alcohol not noticeable at all. great balance and very lovely flavors. definitly a favorite. daje (4436) - NORWAY - MAY 7, 2017
Bottle shared with Esp0r and simonsen at the Beer & Boardgames in the woods trip 2016. Black body with a small head. Aroma is spicy and roasty with chocolate, mild apple notes. Sweet and booxy taste, massive choco and coffee combination, wood and ripe fruit. Finish of strong sweet licorice and roast.
