Ungstrup (38249) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - OCT 15, 2017
Bottled. A black beer with a fast disappearing dark brown head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, alcohol, cherry, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of alcohol, wood, cherries, roasted malt, bread, and caramel, leading to dry roasted finish.

Fairly subtle chocolate, dark, moist pralines, cacao, dark fruits, rather prunes than cherries though. Hazy, very, dark brown, tiny, creamy, beige head. Heavy sweet. More, dark, rich, intense chocolate, cacao, pralines, alcohol, bitter, dark, dried fruits, soft carbonation, full bodied. Excellent Impy, beautifully well-balanced, rich, but not overdone, yet the Calvados version is better. Bottle shared at Leighton’s - thanks to madmitch76!

Dark chocolate, cherry liquor, wood perfume, roasted coffee beans. Taste is engine oil. Potent as fuck. Sweet pouring dark chococherry liquor. My god this is good stuff!

July 2017 - Bottle share at LKS. Thanks Ken! As 'Mikkeller George vs Brian Cherry', 15%, 2014 vintage. Opaque black, ring of brown head. Aroma is plasticky, black forest gateau, blackcurrant, cassis and booze. Not much cherry. Body is smooth with soft carbonation. Taste is chocolate, twiggy and earthy, boozy, quite harsh. It's OK but not very drinkable and not a patch on the calvados. (7-4-7-4-15=3.7)
