Bottle share at Bruce’s pad. Opaque dark brown beer, small tan head. Softish and slightly viscous palate. Rich dark malts with spicy dark chocolate. A little coffee. The Tequila integrates well with the general booziness. Mild tangy fruits. Tequila spice. Semi dry finish. Warming afterglow. Tasty. 3.6

Hackney Bottleshare. Soft rich dark chocolate laden malts, mild coffee and mild spice. Nice limey Tequila tang. Fruit liqueurs. Smooth finish. Has aged wonderfully over the last 3 years. Calmed down a little and tastes much more integrated.

Bottle shared in London - thanks to Kenworth. Pours oily black with a creamy brown head. Rich dark roast nose with tons of dark fruits, brown sugar, chocolate. Medium to big sweet flavor with a bit of charred wood, burnt earth, ash, baking cocoa, thick chocolate mousse. Full bodied, dense and chewy, with fine to average carbonation. Warming finish with rich dark, dried fruits, more bitter chocolate, lots of bitter scorched wood. Lingering heat. Good stuff.
