650ml bottle from Premier Gourmet. Shared with bananabi11. Excited to get to try! Black pour, Brown head leaving some lace. Big caramel, chocolate, fruits, molasses, espresso. Thick and rich, fairly smooth. The nose is fruitier, taste smoother with more espresso/molasses. Light phenol in the nose, but many other aromas. Full bodied with an alcohol presence. The blend is solid/good. Finishes fairly sweet. Very solid tasty complex brew. 14.8 Lonick (2537) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - AUG 23, 2017
Bottle @home. Pours black, opaque, thin tan head. Nose is wow, so complex, sweet at first, then a slight balsamic edge, coffee is huge also chocolate, its also quite fruity and licorice, slight tobacco. Taste is more of the same big coffee and chocolate, some coconut, licorice. It pours like engine oil but drinks like nectar. 19Michi38 (219) - Cracow, POLAND - AUG 12, 2017
Czarne, nieprzejrzyste. Piana brązowa, jest jej mało, szybko znika, lacing zerowy. W aromacie ciemne owoce, czekolada, kakao, kawa. W smaku orzechy, gorzka czekolada, kawa, trochę kakao, trochę wyczuwalnego alkoholu. Wysycenie średnie, goryczka niska, posmak orzechowy, kawowy. SNL (849) - - JUL 17, 2017
San diego version.
Dark brown pour, frothy tan head.
Nice malty nose, taste is very smooth and rich.
Full body, soft carbonation. onceblind (10861) - Denver, Colorado, USA - JUN 16, 2017
Inky black hue with a thin light tan head. Lovely cocoa and dark roast lightly sweet nose. Gentle caramel kisses. Big roasty flavor that’s dark and gently chocolaty, bittersweet and full of raw cocoa, light tobacco, and a dark roasty full, yet smooth finish. Complex as.

Bottle from Willow’s Market in Menlo Park, CA. Aroma is smoky bacon, bacon candy, beef jerky molasses, coffee, sweet dark fruit syrup. Taste is sweet and smoky up front with meats and caramalized dark fruit...then some vanilla and chalky finish. Booze really well hidden but very carbonated / bready and a bit too disjointed in flavors. dnstone (3625) - Kansas City, Missouri, USA - JUN 5, 2017
Pours a deep brown with strong sudsy tan head. Strong chocolate aroma. Quite sweet, super chocolately.

Poured into a snifter, the appearance was a dark brown color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that dissipated at a fairly slow pace. Lace was somewhat messy.
The aroma had some roasted malts, milk and dark chocolate, some butterscotch, dark bread, and dark fruits.
The flavor seemed to moderate fairly nice between the roast and the sweet. Added in a little bit of cake sweetness and seemed to follow through in the aftertaste and finish.
The palate was just a pinch under medium bodied with a decent sessionable quality about it. Yes, I said sessionable for an Imperial stout because the 12% didn’t feel like that. To me, felt closer to 7 to 6 %. Carbonation did feel fine in this.
Overall, there’s so many RIS’s are the market these days, and this doesn’t seem like one I would "need" to have again. the_beergery (176) - - MAY 18, 2017
330 ml bottle. Appearance is that of a standard imperial stout - deep midnight black with a thin layer of tan froth with poor retention. The aroma is heavenly -
espresso coffee, dark chocolate, roasted malts, dried fruits. Taste is just as impressive - rich, dark and expensive chocolate, dried fruits like raisins, prunes and cherries, very muted notes of coffee, and surprisingly a bourbon like booziness even though this is not the bourbon-barrel aged variant. The high alcohol content is kept well under wraps amidst all these flavours and the oily, smooth, chewy and thick mouthfeel. The carbonation is very mild, which tempts one to gulp it all down in a flash! Bule (2309) - California, USA - MAY 1, 2017
11.2oz bottle pours a thick black color with a bit of head. Not sure on age, but at least a couple of years old. Nice balance of hops and malt. Silky smooth and not too sweet.
