Bottle shared with richthevillan. Black beer with wispy head. Aroma of roasted malts, smoke and a little soy sauce. Taste is roasted malts, dark fruits, fly guts and rich malts. Medium to full bodied and oily. Excellent. knickskicks (1162) - - OCT 3, 2014
Black pour. Nose is dark fruits and coffee. Taste is dark fruits, roasted malts, chocolate, a touch of coffee. Oily palate. adnielsen (10605) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - SEP 13, 2014
Bottle @ home ordered from CraftShack a while back. Pours a deep black appearance with a very thin dark brown head that dissipates instantly. Somewhat smoky, char/tar, very roasty, dark chocolate aroma that is very earthy and has a bit of booze even served quite cold. Mouth feel is a bit goopy but not bad. Moderate plus sweetness and bitterness. Booze is pretty well hidden. Chocolate oatmeal cookie flavor with some ashy smoke. Smooth. Pretty fucking tasty. Tide (3830) - Helsinki, FINLAND - SEP 12, 2014

heavy roasted malt, chocolate and coffee assault the senses. This one is a heavy hitter (as expected from a couple of the BA editions) though not as smooth as those...pretty damn solid. Warming but not hot. tricksta_p (4560) - Steenwijk, NETHERLANDS - SEP 8, 2014
Aroma of roasted malts, coffee, dark chocolate, salty liquorice, tobacco, some peat. Flavour is roasty and fairly sweet with a long chocolate finish. Body is thick, mouthfeel oily. Quite good, though a bit on the sweet side for my taste. The BA versions are even better. Steve_0 (3745) - Denver, Colorado, USA - SEP 1, 2014
Bottle at home. Pour is deep, viscous black with a frothy brown head and good lacing. Roasty, leather, cocoa, espresso, somewhat tangy, light smoke, and grassy hops on the aroma. Taste is rich and thick cocoa, some toasted malt, light coconut, leather, espresso, earthy, and grapey with a thick bitter chocolate finish. Thick mouthfeel with soft carbonation. Rich decadent and high boost. Nice stuff. bursprak (3183) - Aarhus, DENMARK - AUG 31, 2014
Bottle. Thick, oily pitch black pour with some tan lacings on top. Nose has syrup, coffee, licorice and some dark chocolate. Taste has some soy sauce, dark chocolate, freshly ground coffee and some sweet vanilla. Wonderful beer! jamestulloch (4063) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - AUG 29, 2014
Bottle, tasting at Appellation Wines. Black body with a tan head. Light lacing. Boozy aroma of vanilla, wood and dark chocolate. Flavour of oak, rich chocolate cake and vanilla. Medium body with a slick, oily mouthfeel. Soft carbonation prickle. Rich, but very drinkable for the strength.
