Bottle from Toft Vin, Copenhagen - black pour with a tan head. Roasted and sweet malty aroma and taste with some great charred smokey burnt notes, some cocoa and caramel sweetness coming in, liqourice, light subtle vanilla essence running through this into the finish. Very nice.

VDuquerroux (1774) - Airvault, Haut-Poitou, FRANCE - MAY 4, 2016
Bottle, 33cL. Home. A pitch black beer with no head ; rare brown bubbles on the glass. Roast, black chocolate, coffee, wood, whisky, light herb, dried fruits. Very intense aromatic spectrum. Medium sweet, round, light warming background ; nice balance with medium dry bitterness. Elegant body, light creamy texture, flat, bitter>sweet chocolate woody warming lasting finish. Overall, truely delicious beer !!! Average look, intense complex characters ; great story ; good palate ; would have loved more texture.

4.2
glennmastrange (2897) - hobe sound, Florida, USA - MAY 3, 2016
Bottle. Heavy dark chocolate, molasses, and toasted for the malt, moderate aromas of resin and herbs for the hops, and earth for the yeast, with notes of burnt, vanilla and licorice. Head is small, wispy, brown, with a ring of lacing and good legs and is almost fully diminishing. Color is black. Flavor starts moderately sweet and lightly acidic, then finishes moderately sweetand harshly bitter. Palate is full, syrupy with a soft carbonation and a sticky and lightly alcoholic finish. 16 Super thick, super rich Imperial Stout, which hides the 12.12% well. Nice to sip it like Fernet Branca.

4.2
Geiserich (4545) - Linz, AUSTRIA - MAY 2, 2016

4.6
Gearz (83) - Maryland, USA - APR 26, 2016
Small tan bead of head around the glass. Looks like coffee that has set on the burner all day. Black as onyx. Smells boozy as hell with notes of chocolate and leather. Good astringency on the tongue with a super thick mouthfeel. This is right there with ToØl's Goliat, Evil Twin's Imperial Biscotti Break and probably better than Mikkeller's breakfast beers. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
