Bottle courtesy of me - thanks! Thick and oily black, massive dark brown head. Aroma of Hershey bar infused coffee grounds, subtle licorice. Taste is rich burnt espresso with a sweet edge and a port wine finish. Really nice stuff.

On tap at the Mikkeller bar in Copenhagen. Opaque black beer, dark brown head. Minerally nose with a bit of wet straw. Palate starts crisp but rapidly turns soft. Rich dark malt, minerally and fresh. A little coffee and some underlying red fruit. Finishes dry and rich. Nice but might have suffered a bit after tasting Heavy Black as the previous beer! 3.4

Bottle. Opaque black beer, small chocolate coloured head. Softish semi dry palate. Now this is a RIS! Rich unsweet dark chocolate and malt with some coffee. A little cherry and red fruit underneath. Has a little aniseed and a trace of minerals in the soft semi dry finish. Slight roastiness in the aftertaste. Rich and tasty!
