COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Mikkeller’s tribute to the green gold.

omegamike (152) - York, North Yorkshire, ENGLAND - DEC 22, 2011
Bottle from Trembling Madness, York. Pour is hazy blood orange, with short-lived off white head. Aroma is all hops;, plenty of pine, some wood, definitely the characteristic meatiness of Simcoe too. Flavour is hard hitting, a violent surge of hop bitterness heads this beer up, before sweet malts raise their heads momentarily, giving way once more as a tide of bitter pine with a savoury, leathery edge finish up the experience. Flavour is strong and enduring, while the body is relatively light and fluffy.

From bottle. Pours dark amber with white head. Perfumey aroma, citrus, wee bit pissy. Taste has a strong malt presence, fruity hops, orange flavor. Long bitter finish. Not the big flavors I was hoping for but very decent

Gingerbrew (2) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - DEC 12, 2011 does not count
Good creme, fresh hoppy nose, excellent texture, good notes all through. This beer has a beautiful foaminess on the tongue that releases all the flavours. Hoppy with a great texture / mouth feel and an amazingly satisfying malty aftertaste. Has lovely deep golden colour with a hint of red and a slight haze to it

Flaske 0,33l på Bishops Arms i Kiruna 17 Aug 11. Mørk gyldenbrun. Veldig uklar. Kjempehøyt, svakt farget skum som varer lenge. Sterk & god fruktig aroma. Fersken. Rik & variert fruktsmak. Litt tyggegummi. Smaken glir over i en fin fruktig bitterhet. Atter et nydelig øl fra Mikkeller.

Brenhophead (695) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - DEC 1, 2011
Draught from Manes liquor.. Pours a deep red colour with a wonderful aroma of stone fruit and biscuit malts. The flavour is dominated by deep malt with a generous hop citrus hop inclusion. This beer sort of reminds me of Murrays icon 2 IPA and both a top notch.
